  1. Fantastic game and result, the last Saturdays have been enjoyable at Goodison. Probably the best first half of football I’ve seen in years, can’t fault one player fir their performance today. The crowd in the first half were immense, players who recently looked shot of all confidence played calm and composed, getting behind them really helped our game.
  2. I like our warmup routine, much more intense than previous. Install response from the crowd sounds like we’re going to get right behind the boys today
  3. And we had no focal point up front, Richy is not a focal point player, he’s outstanding when he can run free, but as a target man it’s not his game, doesn’t win many aerial challenges or hold the ball up that well. DCL is the only one who is able to do that, if we hadn’t already had to make two subs, DCL would have come on for at least 30 mins and we may have had a chance of getting points.
  4. Me too, I don’t know if it’s being over sensitive and I hear it more when it’s said against Everton, but it does seem to happen far too often.
  5. Impressed with his time on the pitch tonight, hopefully an indicator of what he can do.
  6. Gordon, kept trying and took no shit from anyone, we need his attitude throughout, now!
  7. Poor performance, but I think it was down to losing Gray and then Mina, any balance or shape was lost, and more importantly we lost the ability to bring on the subs we probably had planned to change the game. St James was always going to be a tough place to go, and it certainly was, although we had subdued it after 20-25 mins, a fluke goal for us, then for them, and another for their second. Too many free kicks given away, which finally put the game to bed, can’t understand the gap in the wall. I’ll give Frank time to get them better organised, we need to win on Saturday to ease the nerves.
  8. Good point, Todd Cantwell seems to have fallen off a Cliff from his first season in the PL, Gordon does have the advantage of super Frankie managing him though
  9. I was hoping the same, it will be a great revenue boost for them, there will probably be loads of juniors at the game at £5 each which I think is great. If they play like they did yesterday I will be a tougher game than were expecting, but I’d hope we’re a bit better than Bournemouth who were really poor IMO.
  10. He was, he showed what he is capable of for the first time in ages, some clever turns ( needs to keep a check on those though) won headers, tackles, and hoofed it when needed. Let’s hope that this is right, he did particularly well as he had to move from the right to the left after Godfrey went off, we didn’t loose our balance which I thought we might have done.
  11. Good postmatch interview, acknowledges a good performance but also still lots to do to improve. The feelgood factor he has brought to the fans is great, hopefully it’s the same with the players, which it did look like yesterday.
  12. Good all round team performance, I’ll go for Gordon as he was a constant threat, running at their defence, he’s growing in confidence and ability each game. Holgate much improved also, feeling cautiously confident for the rest of the season
  13. Top Balcony is best for that, when I was buying tickets by the game it was also the easiest to get tickets, but do not go for one close to the park end, I was right up against the wall at one game and couldn’t see any of the penalty area or pitch after the six yard box, not good value at £56 each !
  14. Always an optimist , 9-10th as long as we play 3 in midfield.
  15. I will be pissed off if we go with 2 in midfield again, it’s been the cause of our downfall.
  16. I don’t drink at the game as I’m with my lad ( hurry up son and grow up! ) but can say this, there’s many pubs once you leave Lime St and the city centre until you get to County Road, that’s where you will see the blue pubs, personally I love getting the 919 Soccer bus from outside Lime St to the ground it stops just before it, and when you jump off the Park End is in front, it’s even better at night when all lit up. I’d get the bus and give yourself more time to wander round and try a few of the pubs around the ground/County Rd. My nephew who lives in LA came over a couple, of years ago and managed to tickets for OT, I know he paid a fortune for them via stub hub, they only come up for sale nearer the date of the game. The Bramley Moore bit will take you out of your way a bit, it’s a 30 min walk up to Goodison, it can be seen from the Merseyrail line, and other than the cranes there’s not much to see yet. Have a good trip, where are your seats?
  17. I’m happy we got him over the other reported candidates, and from what I’m seeing and hearing I like the look so far, really looking forward to Saturday.
  18. If he can regain his form it’s going to be good, he can create, score and press, and looking at the video gets back to defend well also. Visually he makes me think of Jack Sparrow
  19. Looks promising. I hope we come out and warm up earlier than we did under FSW, never seemed enough and we always struggled to get going early doors in games
  20. He’s taking each and everyone of us for a ride again, how many moves has he turned down now, I really hope we start to put clauses into contracts that stop this happening, if they refuse two moves terminate.
  21. If it is Lampard, hopefully he can bring in a couple of Chelsea players with him now, I’d love him to bring Gallagher also in the summer.
  22. I love his love and passion for our club, if he is on the move, it could be good, time for him to step up and get a managers role and earn his stripes, and then if he’s successful he would be in a better position to come back and manage us.
