  1. Regardless of how he shat on the club, I don’t think he is good enough, we should be aiming higher, he has moments of skill and then large periods of being absent from games, didn’t do my much of note on loan at Villa, and has played a few minutes back at Chelsea recently, which makes me think Tuchel is putting in in the window again.
  2. Agreed, but shouldn’t he have been keeping himself fit in preparation for a move, or was he ready to retire?
  3. How flippin long does it take him, he should have been giving it everything to get fit as soon as he knew there was interest in him, Dom’s been out since Brighton at the end of August, that’s 10 weeks! Should been fit by now. FWIW I also thought he would be good back up, unfortunately the wait continues.
  4. Spot on Matt, if he had helped us in to top 4 he may have a touch of crediability, sadly that’s not the case he was awful, and isn’t any better as a pundit, see Sundays MOTD2.
  5. A much better game from him yesterday, seemed to have regained his pace and positional sense. His distribution needs work though.
  6. I played with him also at a hospitality day in 1989, DHL used to sponsor him, I was a Key Account Manager and we used to do regular golf days with our customers, big biceps is the main thing I remember of him, and also his career falling of a cliff once we had sponsored him
  7. I’ve seen him playing the idiot during warmup every week, he’s like the class clown. Time to move him on I’d rather see one of the youngsters come through if there’s no money to replace him.
  8. It feels wrong going on the past few years, but Delph, put a really good 60 mins in
  9. Well that was one of the most exciting 0-0 I’ve seen for a long time, we came out with the intensity that’s been missing in the last 3 games and didn’t let them settle. Richarlison ran his socks off, but he’s not the right player to lead the line. The ref was appalling from start to finish, I’m really pissed off that he blew for the penalty when Ricky had the ball with an open net, where was the playing advantage in that? overall happy to walk out with a point as I was fearing the worst on the way in.
  10. From what I’ve seen Dom will be back to fitness months before Rondon is, if he’s ever able to achieve it.
  11. Me too, we need a solid and consistent main pairing, without that we’re far too soft in defence, I’d be happy with an older experienced CH and Godfrey with the old timer helping him develop.
  12. I’ll be amazed if that doesn’t happen ( and very very disappointed )
  13. Not so sure, I’ve seen reports that’s he’s a bit of a rum lad.
  14. I think RPG has it right here, we need to see this season out, as painful as it may get, we’re good enough to avoid the drop. The season was always going to be difficult after Ancelotti's flounce away ( which will probably be a good thing in the long run as we were rubbish and looked clueless for a lot of last season ) I’d like to see him change or improve how we zonal mark as it’s killing games for us
  15. I’ve seen no leadership from him in the last two games, if anything it’s been a petulant child spitting his dummy out. We needed someone to lead by example, rally the troops, and lift the moral of the ones struggling, if anyone saw any modicum of that from hi please let me know what I’ve missed.
  16. I’m not going to pass final judgement on him , but asking him to play a two man midfield after so long injured and lack of match fitness was always going to be tough, and so it proved. Mentally he may well be thinking it’s never going to work for him at Everton, a move would be best for both IMO
  17. Yes totally agree, and expecting Gbamin to come in and play Doucoures role was a fantasy football move, he’s not kicked a ball properly since joining us, he’s miles off the pace and not PL match fit. What worries me is that we could all see the formation was wrong, yet it took Rafa 45 mins to change anything. The starting line up had two errors, Gbamin and Iwobi, if we had gone with a park the bus formation and look to score on the break I think we would have all been happier. Only consolation is we didn’t get another hammering.
  18. As much as it pains me to do it, Delph, brought some badly needed calm and composure. Pickford kept it from being truly embarrassing.
  19. 4-4-1-1 Line up seems a good option, here’s hoping it is.
  20. It’s a big challenge for him, I hope we get one of the 4 forwards to help him out, preferably we set up with 3 in midfield.
  21. I’d agree, at every game the first thing he does when he comes out for warm up and the actual game is to wave to his family, and again at the end.
  22. Thing is we just dont know if that’s true, we’ve not seen enough of him to make a proper assessment, we know Iwobi isn’t good enough, so it’s a worry he doesn’t come on instead.
