  1. Well said! A terrible start from us, Hull targeted our new, never played in England before full back who made a rash challenge, gave away a free kick, and Rondon then decided to play statues, 40 seconds in and we’re 1 down. Any team who has been on a run like we are would be nervy after that, Gray and Gordon pulled us back and from the equaliser on we were in control. We upset the BBC who were desperate for Hull to win, Once they had equalised each time they went forward in our half the commentator said and is this where whole go on to win the game, it was quite embarrassing in their level of biased commentary. once they had equalised each time they went forward in our half the commentator said and is this where Hull go on to win the game, it was quite embarrassing in their level of biased commentary. In the post match summary Jenus did a bit of analysis on Gray saying he was very good, but he keeps shooting too early, or too late, or not making the right decisions, has anybody watched Salah play, he shoots and misses more often than he scores, as do most players, once again really biased analysis. Rafas team selection and formation continues to baffle me, as does his choice of substitutions, Rondon should’ve left the field early 2nd half with Dobbin coming on to run at the tiring Hull defence, it was quite embarrassing watching Rondon trying to chase the ball down he really needs to get rid of the Zimmer frame it might run quicker! Anyhow we’re in the draw for the next round, let’s see if there are any more upsets today, does anyone still want Eddie Howe or Sean Docherty here ?
  2. That’s the slowest mid field pairing, I know nowt about Hull, hope they are shite or were fooked !
  3. I don’t think any of us are trying to be dicks, it is just our passion for our club. Walking away from Goodison on Sunday I was ready for him to go after setting us so so wrong and failing to change it. But time moves on, and and on reflection I think he needs this window to show what shape and type of player he is trying to bring to the club, and while it’s painful to see where we are atm a win tomorrow and 4 points from Leicester and Norwich will see us moving in the right direction.
  4. No, it’s a non exec position not DOF, and as had been mentioned it’s good to have someone with football experience on the board.
  5. Spot on, and when it’s only a midfield of two the defence gets horribly exposed. 3 in midfield is a must IMO
  6. I hate stats, particularly all this xg stuff, you either score or you don’t. Same with mistakes, does Keanes awful clearance towards Gordon after Holgates last ditch challenge, which resulted on their 3rd goal count as an error? It does for me, if we had retained the ball they wouldn’t have had the chance. He’s clearly a confidence player and needs a solid consistent leader next to him to develop a strong partnership, and maybe then we might just collectively start heading clearances towards one of our own players rather than the opposition.
  7. I’ve been leaning on the side of giving him time, yesterday has really tested my patience. 1. He really hung Seamus out to dry on the left, he’s never been the best at delivering a good ball in to the box from the right, so to stick him on the left and expect anything decent was deluded to say the least. 2. A two man midfield does not work for us, we were over run, making Allan and Doucoure look awful, Duke in particular did look rusty, possibly knew we were g kit to be over run and tried to overcompensate. 3. To not see the above and make a change until 85th minute was inexcusable, everyone in the ground could see it, and were calling for it, it’s either total stubbornness or he can’t see things when they are wrong, both are a big worry. 4. Rondon on instead of Dobbin or Simms, I get the experience aspect, but Rondon has shown nothing to make me think he can change a game, surely one of the youngsters feeding of DCL earlier on would have been better. I don’t approve on booing players in the way Rondon was, it’s hardly going to fill him with confidence, but I realise it was fans emotions and reaction to another bad decision. Any goodwill he had with the on the fence supporters is disappearing fast We are on BBC live on Saturday, they smell an upset coming, at the moment so do I.
  8. Gordon, played with his heart on his sleeve. Gray always a theat, Allan did a decent job of driving us forward.
  9. This bit is spot on, forget the rest, we need players who want to play for our club. Aside from this he’s not good enough and won’t take us forward, Gallagher is out of our reach, but is the type of player we need to find.
  10. When was this announced? I was just getting ready to leave!
  11. If he could be arsed, then yes, but as we all know…….
  12. I think there’s one in every section, I have one behind me, praises our players when they are playing well, then in the next breath he’s calling them all sorts, especially if they aren’t English, including “Coleman you Irish ****”
  13. True, and I thought he was excellent all game, can’t understand why Iwobi stayed on over him. Im looking forward to see him develop further
  14. Don’t disagree with the sentiment, but one of the worst performers this year is Digne, gets beaten all too easily, hasn't hit the target with a free kick since who knows when, and corners have been poor.
  15. 6 sounds OK about, but 12 out from a threadbare squad is optimistic, and 6 of those 12 played on Thursday, dream on my friend
  16. Harsh Mike, I thought he ran alongside Chelsea players really well on Thursday, never once felt the need to put a foot in either
  17. He is though that’s the issue, we need continuity in the team, Mina is regularly one who doesn’t allow us to do that. Granted you can say that of almost the whole squad this season though.
  18. Some rumours flying about saying he tested positive
  19. Gordon, showed a few other son the pitch what it means to play for Everton, won foul, took free kick goal assist, not bad. Pickfrod was excellent, my vote only goes to Gordon as it’s what I expect from Englands no 1
  20. Err no, I predicted a 1-2 result. However a fantastic result, beyond most of our dreams, really impressed by the youngsters, including Gordon who played like a captain, geeing up the other players, won the foul and put a lovely ball in for Branthwaite to knock in to the net. Simms and Dobbin showed more desire than Rondon could ever do, JJK steady and no brain farts ala Seamus. Pickford put in an outstanding performance. Im happy Sunday is postponed, gives us time to get a few players fit.
  21. Happy with the way we’ve kept a clean sheet, will be brill if we can do the same in the second.
