Played pretty well overall.
Thought we made the right choices, just poor execution at times. Danjuma poor touch when sent thru etc.
But I don't really mind things not working as long as we keep trying to do the right things, and today I thought we did for the most part.
Beto was exceptional but faded towards the end (understandable) and Pickfords save was incredible!
I still question Dyche reluctance to make changes. More for fresh legs than anything else. Maybe when the injuries are back he might be more willing? I just thought for the last 10 mins Chermitti would have got a run around as Beto was knackered.

fuck yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Yep, we don't score many goals, cant argue that.
But tides always turn and I back us to do it against these.
Otherwise we might as well give up and get on the bus now.

We've played pretty well.
Danjuma making the right choices just poor execution.
Caught by a sucker punch and the second goal is what happens when your bottom and struggling.Bounces go against you, comical how it went in.
2 choices now.
Accept everything is going against us and moan OR stand up and be counted. Can see us winning this COYB

Anyone else expecting the departures to happen, but rumoured signings turn out to be just that? rumours.
and the classic 'we tried right up to the deadline, but couldn't quite get the deal done' to be rolled out.
Everton have burnt us all so badly over the years, sorry for the pessimism -

I was a fan of his before he joined, I won't judge him on 12 months in a shitshow.
That's fair enough.
We all have players we rate even when the stats suggest we shouldn't.
I for instance am a fan of Godfrey still , so take my opinion with large pinch of salt
Maupay tho, without a partner, should've had a hat trick vs Fulham but couldn't finish his dinner
I don't see a role for him, that's all -

Yeah, assuming Dom isn't fit. Maybe even if he is. Maupay has always needed that lead man he can feed off of, and never had it. Now we've potentially got 2-3 target men, we ship him out?
He's not good enough though. Partner or no partner. Poor signing and needs to leave.

Wow £20 mill??
Yes yes yes.
We over spent on him massively (amongst others) but if its that's the fee being offered we should bite their hand off

Dyche? Then who do we get? Dunc or the Fat one?
Jeez. I know its bad but no need to stick the size 12 in and mention that cretins name

He was close to dying on the Keane hill last season….. looks like he wants another crack at it.
I get the feeling he feels comfortable cos we are shit in the market. Possibly will walk
Yep, agree on all that

I question how Dyche can see a player in Keane.
He's beyond broken.
-
That's just embarrassing.
Damage limitation now.
Pathetic.
Could get hit for 5 or 6 very easily -

Woeful finish

Not the line up I wanted to see.
Our only change is a 38 year old left back from a team that was dreadful and offered little attacking threat.
Oh well, whatever I feel is a moot point and there's no point moaning.
The teams been picked and I will back them.
New season, new beginning.
Who knows, they may even surprise us?!

Of all the Leicester strikers he’s the more appealing.
Nacho doesn’t stretch a defence, he’s more the drop off the front type player.
Daka has pace, which is what we are in dire need of.
Not sure he quite knows how to use it against PL defenders but to see a striker pressing and forcing mistakes (or trying to) would make a welcome change, and then also gives the quick transition as an option. He’s not great, but nor are we

In another thread people are complaining that we don't have enough cover in defence haha. I just can’t keep up with our fans.
Yeah mad aint it

He isn't a bad player, and he certainly isn't in the elite bracket either.
Scapegoated by the press for sure.
I'm not sure why we'd bring him in tho, as we already have 5 x CB's!
1 of them is a shoe in starter.
Does it mean Dyche doesn't fancy any of the other 4? -
Pre season is about getting sharp, matchday helps, but for sure it's a training session mentality.
Personally I thought we were (overall) solid at the back yesterday, which last seasons stats also prove.
We just offer zero attacking threat, and we all know that.
Danjuma looked like he'd only trained for a day, so cant be faulted. Dobbin was ok in flashes.
Biggest downsides were Keane, Maupay and Iwobi for me.New season, its all a bit 'meh'. We will play deep and be hard to break down. But the flip side is we have no outlet and will get the feeling you can only defend for your lives for so much in a game.
Wins will be by a single goal.
Somehow score 10 more goals a season and that will pull us into the mid table abyss of mediocrity as will be worth another 9-12 points.
Excited?? No
But not doom and gloom ......... yet

Is anyone there to take it everyone seems to be away at Wigan and Tranmere
We left a key out back so he could let himself in

Maupay gave the impression he was mobile. If we knew the reality - we wouldn’t touch him.
iheanacho is very well rounded bar aerial. Loads of pace, can play across front 3, strong.
He's not as good as you think, and if we play the same system as last season, then I don't see how he fits in.
Obviously I'd back him if he walks through the door, but I've got to say I'd be disappointed.
Yet anther unimaginative signing. Buying people from PL who have flattered to deceive
Such a shame.

Better side for the majority and hit by the sucker punch.
Not totally Keanes fault, but bad luck seems to follow him. History tells us chances of 2 good games back to back are slim
But I’m biased as I prefer Godfrey and still think there’s a player in there
