Shame he’s leaving as we all have that romantic view of a ‘local boy done good’ , and although all of our stats are pretty shocking, his are hardly standout.
50/50 whether he turns into a consistent good player for me. I suspect he’ll be an ok player, maybe a handful of international caps at best. . Think Barkley was far better technically at same age for instance and look what happened to him. -
It has to be quick. We usually take far too long to make decisions so we have no choice.
That said, it would be very un-Everton to have a plan and see it through.
expecting Bielsa to turn us down and we end up with a panic appointment -

It would be very Everton to bring in a manager that was taking Southampton down to try and save us.
and having lost 9-0 TWICE ........ just let that sink in folks

If he missed training today suppose that means its quite likely to happen ??
Hope to god we get a good price (based on form we won't) and we can invest wisely for a change.

Doesn't surprise me. So quiet since it was 'signed and sealed'. Was clearly delaying / having second thoughts.
Champs League or a club who sacked the manager who convinced you to join. Not a hard choice
Imperative we get a anew manager before the weekend. A week with current players and a chance to sign new ones
Not that it will actually happen

If we go back to Allardyce it will just show the utter contempt the club has for it's own fanbase and I don't think I'll be able to attend until that fuck and the fucks in the boardroom are gone.

Our level, as in me and you, isn't that low. The people who run the club and make the decisions? Not sure.
Have we hit bottom yet?....I'd say yes to be honest. And I wouldn't put it past the decision makers to see a team joint bottom in the league, with only 3 wins all season, see how he got us 8th last time and view that as a luxury.
Don't forget, these guys appointed Benitez. A guy with a history of causing havoc at clubs. They let him do the same here then sacked him once he'd done his usual dirty work.
Serious question for everyone...hypothetical...take relegation or take that man and avoid relegation?

How low is our level exactly? Have we hit bottom yet? To crawl back to Allardyce knowing the fan base hate him and he hates us, knowing that he will bleed us for what he can, seems pretty abject.
Don’t think I could cope with that appointment. Shameful when we did it last time. I’d just quit football if we did it again.

Problem with Bielsa I don’t think he’s ever took over a job (bar international jobs) mid season.
Scary defensively but fun attacking style.
Massive risk, then again who wouldn’t be -

I'll probably get battered for this (as we cant get Thomas Tuchel can we) it would be Moyes for me ahead of Dyche.
Some managers just seem to 'fit' a club. Similar type of players that he's had before. Decent - good record last time (depening on your view point)
There are no guarantees with anyone but that's the way I'd go. Better than Dyche IMO

so if we are sacking FL, what does that mean for the danjuma signing? and or any other targets for that matter? The reason I ask is if they are players FL wants then it makes Danjuma pointless, and anything else 'on the line' naturally stalls as the new manager might not want them. So we don't improve the squad and fall even further behind teams.
FL record is shite. I don't deny that.
For the first 30 mins I thought were great yesterday. A really good away performance, stifled the crowd and didn't let WH come flying at us, which in turn was beginning to turn the crowd against them
Sadly we offered nothing in the final third. zero. zilch. Which made those 30 mins a complete waste
Personally I still wouldn't sack him as bringing in a Dyche type manager would set us back even further, and the style FL tries to play is far more appealing to me, even if its not working at the moment

Folks that would take the job that are better? Probably not... but Frank does not look up for it anymore. In my opinion he should take the high road and resign.
I'd only counter that by saying the players have let him down. Both goals today were from poor defending. 2nd goal especially when Tark dives in unnecessarily. That isnt the mangers fault.
I thought we kept the ball really well at times. killed the crowd. and were looking comfortable. Then our arse fell
That said we offered nothing in the final third.
Just an opinion tho and probably utter bollocks as I'm hurting like everyone else. Not saying right or wrong

I wouldn't sack FL anyway.
Whats the point. Who out there is better

New manager…. Who? Rooney Ferguson partnership, dyche, carsley,
For what its worth i'd probably only want Rooney off that list. Dunc not ready, nor Carsley. and Dyche in the same league as the other bloke we had a while back that I have utter distain for.
-
Probably cos they're both shite
-
Difference has been WHU get it and go direct / run at us etc.
We pass it round nicely but have little to no threat in the final third
-
1 goal for us and and WHU will bottle it.
Wishful thinking I know

Shame he’s out but timing is weirdly the best we could have hoped for.
Games so close together it could easily have been 4/5/6, but if he only misses 2 games I’ll take that.Begovic an able stand in.
As mentioned, we’ve had some total shite as back ups previously so in comparison he’s not too bad.
Media get their wish too as some have been desperate to see Pickford dropped for England as he’s so ‘erratic’ -

FM said ‘judge us at end of window’
To be fair I think FL & KT have done very well, some of the deals (as reported) seem incredible bits of business on face value.
We haven’t bought ageing players for stupid wages, we’ve moved out plenty of players, or at least tried to in some cases too.
Players in, on the whole, are of ‘a good age’ but everyone seems to have a particular set of traits too.
Willingness to work hard, and all appear to have good ‘characters’An extra forward would’ve been great, but even that seems we were either waiting for Broja (?) or the alternatives didn’t tick enough boxes to make them viable.
So we passed and didn’t risk another Niasse, Sandro, Tosun et alNext 2 games are shite, and not far a write off, BUT I’m feeling optimistic about the season now.
I’m also convinced we’ll go on a run after that, which bumps us up the table into the safe zone of mid-table obscurity. Finally a transfer plan.
Finally proper due diligence.
Finally something to be excited about.

Both Coady & Tarks are ideal for the two young fullbacks.
I still think this us at our worst. We might not get anything from the next two games but in a months time I really expect us to be clicking together nicely.
Agreed.
And watch the media make a storm if we haven’t got a win after that the next 2 games tooPersonally I find it amusing all the guff from the pundit makes about FL in danger.

Agreed.
I thought Barkley could’ve been a star. Non-football factors played a massive part and it went downhill.
Exciting talent that was wasted.
