I agree with those who are championing have a bit of stability in the management department. At the moment there is very little continuity at this club, so wouldn't change the management team unless we absolutely have to.

I think Dyche has done much better than most of the managers we have had in the Moshiri period with much fewer resources and he's had a lot more issues and problems to deal with. Not a high benchmark I must admit, but there has and very much still is over ridding reasons why managers struggle here. I wouldn't doubt any replacement manager coming would find the Everton job easy.
I don't think there have been that many bad performances (5-6 maybe), they may not have been asthetically pleasing, but most haven't been stinkers, I still think we actually deserved more wins/draws that we have ended up with to date. I don't think we have been riding our luck in the games in which we have got results, most points won have been deserved. In an alternative universe when point deductions don't exist and you get a little be more of the rub of the green, we could have just as easy have been in a push for a European spot. Just off the top of my head I still don't understand how Fulham, Wolves and Luton stole 9 points off us at home in the first few weeks of the season - Boom, just considering those 3 games and no points deduction - performance wise we could easily be sitting 8th with 50 points. All ifs and buts, but we have not been far off getting the points West Ham and even Newcastle has to there name this season.
If we hadn't be artificially 'stuck' in the relegation zone all season, there would be very little talk of swapping Dyche out next season.

Not sure it's a matter of accepting less, at least not for me. It's a matter of accepting the current and being patient enough to allow change to take place and that's not something we, collectively, as fans have been good at nor has our "owner" because we all want, rightly, for things to improve dramatically in a very short space of time. But with each chop and change it creates more instability and friction.
I don't blame fans being annoyed but the short levels of patience can have for change projects that have a 3-5 year plan isnt helping.

Yep English football is fucked, it’s already gone past the point of no return and is only going to get worse
It’s not just the EPL, the same 6 teams are also now dominating the cup competitions.
In these PSR cases the EPL keep talking about fairness and integrity but the EPL is anything but. If it’s fairness and integrity they want then that is only achievable by introducing a salary cap and applying same rules to all 20 teams

This is so unfair. I'm partially relieved that it happened this season rather than earlier because we won't get relegated this time. However, we should bring this to court because double standards are being applied. Both City and Chelsea should be punished, or nobody should. The entire FFP system is a total mess. It will never work as intended and should be abolished. If they aim for fair spending, they should consider imposing a salary/transfer cap, similar to the system in the US. The whole situation makes no fucking sense.

FFP regulations are a joke. Essentially clubs with a larger turnover are allowed to spend more. They use the narrative that these regulations are in place to guarantee clubs' financial stability, but that is not true. The punishments for breaches put the clubs in even more dangerous financial instability. They simply don't care about the well-being of the clubs. And regulations like these only make the spending disparity even bigger, which is not a competitive fair play.

It's been said many times but it's unfortunate that this seems to be the way most clubs operate now and certainly the way we operate. When you can't just outspend other clubs, you need to have consistency in tactics and recruitment and development. Annual turnover of managers is one of the biggest reasons we're here.
You can call out Moshiri / the board's recruitment all you want but in my opinion once you bring a manager in he needs at least two full seasons to be properly evaluated.

No, they won't. There's 38 games to decide a season, still 30 to go after those 4 (think my maths is right ).
This stuff always winds me up, in general I mean, not you specifically Patto. The BBC have become so bad at it now, calling matches as 6 pointers after 2 games. Its just fucking stupid and it's that kind of nonsense that led to us getting the fat twat.
Can we all just give the guy who's not even been here 8 months yet an actual chance please? Change takes years, we've not given a manager that long since Martinez and even then not quite 3 full seasons...
So stop whining and feeding the media machine. We don't have an identity yet? No fucking shit, he's been here less that 8 months and had 1 actual window to make changes. 1!!! "Urgh, it's so boring, we've got no pattern, no identity". Fuck off. Not 1 single manager in the world establishes their identity in 1 window or 8 months, not even Pep and especially not whilst the club is a dumpster fire off the pitch and the relationship between the fans and board is so toxic.
This shit is a large part of the reason we're in the clusterfuck we're in; impatient fans expecting immediate/far too short term change so our clueless, yet very generous owner, goes and chops the manager and we wait another 6 months and a window before running out of patience with the next one.
We need to own our part in this and that starts by being patient. Our league performances, Villa aside, have been very positive vs the past few years. There's a bit of an identity forming if you look close, and the work ethic is so much better. Plus we now have a striker. So please, don't feed the media trolls and take deep breathes this season, because it will be a bumpy ride. But we'll be mid-table by Christmas, reinforce with 1-2 in January and be safe by end of Feb. That's a bloody good improvement and very possible. But not if we feed the media trolls who get Moshiri all flustered into stupid changes.
    Come on you fucking Blues

I feel I always side with the manager until they are sacked but I must say, I feel the goals we concede are not down to poor instructions or tactics from that manager. Look at Soton - their first goal is just school boy errors, long ball to the CF, Tarks doesn’t even try and get in to an area to cover & Godfrey dives in. Second goal - they 100% would have stressed not to give a free kick away in that exact area. Gordon is just a dickhead. Myko tries to get on the line but doesn’t get there & Pickford leaves it thinking Myko has that side covered.
Frank has his flaws but right now, he’s the only person in any elevated role that has integrity & respect towards the club/fans.

That's exactly may point. In a year's time, we'll be saying exactly the same thing and looking for the next quick managerial fix. At some point, you have to stick with something through the rough patch to get to the other side. And God knows we are in a rough patch.
I honestly think that with a fit DCL this year we wouldn't be in this position. The season has pretty much played out very similar to last year, only this time round we have Maupay instead of Richarlison. Of course we're in the same, even worse, position!
Again, I'm not trying to say Lampard is the answer, I'm just not convinced that anyone else (who we could realistically afford or who would come) could do much better. Add on top of that our dire financial state and I can only come to the conclusion that what it would cost to change the manager (and all his staff) would be better spent on improving the squad and getting in the best quality striker we can afford. If DCL gets injured again, were are 100% down.
Our only chance of staying up is finding extra firepower up top, cos there are not enough goals in this squad!
New manager or not, we just do not score enough goals.
Let's say we do sack FL tomorrow (Monday), who here seriously thinks we'll have someone lined up already? What are the chances we'll have someone new in place for West Ham? What are the chances that Bainesy will be 'given a go'?
Ok. I'll concede (even though a doubt the board have such competence), we sack FL on Monday and have a new man in by the end of the week. Best case scenario. That still doesn't leave much time to bring in new players that the new manager wants who we don't have money for anyway. It's also just continuing our recipe for disaster that has lead us here in the first place: chopping and changing the manager and creating a disjointed, confused, hodgepodge squad. How can this be answer?
Whatever money we have I would be throwing it all at the best striker we can get our hands on.

If you keep twisting, sooner or later your gonna go bust, at some point you just have to say stick to have any chance in the game, even if you still only have 14.
I very much feel that is the hand we have been dealt and the one we have to play right now. Even if we dealt it ourselves and have nothing up our sleeves.
I'm not saying FL is the Messiah who will save us, far from it, but I just don't see how changing the manager once again is gonna save us.
With the millions it would cost us to offload him I would much rather put that money into better players in the squad.
Better players + same manager has a much greater chance of staying up than same players + different manager, at least in my opinion and taking into consideration our financial mess.
For me, I think I'm (reluctantly) sticking on 14 and hoping to high heaven the dealer goes bust.

Dom is no where near match fit - he has now been injured for most part of over a season now. So time is needed for him to be back to his best - you just now hope and pray he stays fit and injury free to the end of the season. If he doesn't I fear we go down.
Our single biggest problem is that we do not have a viable striker to replace him when he isn't fit. And to me that is not something that Lampard can be really blamed for - Lampard will have been desperate for another striker, particularly when Dom was injured at the beginning of this season.  The club did not get anything over the line (most likely because we had no money to spend when it really needed), and the team are struggling to finish chances and score goals.
If Dom (or another proven striker) was available for most of our games I am fairly sure we could quite easily be 5-6 better off at this moment in time, and sitting mid tableish.
We know Lampard is not the finished article as a manager, he has limited experience and ability and I don't really expect him to work miracles as a manager and coach - he has not been there and seen it all. He is however, an intelligent and articulate, passionate and hardworking chap, who I think could develop in to a very good manager, in the same way an inexperienced Onana can develop in to a very good midfielder. Signs of good stuff and signs of poor decisions from both - intelligent people often learn more from bad decisions, but time and patience is required.
The board and to some extent us fans can lack patience, because its in tough moments like we are currently in when they are actually truly tested.
It seems to me that Lampard has not lost the dressing room in anyway, and the players are fully behind him. If people are just hoping for the new manager bounce effect to get some points on the board, I am not sure how well this actually works when you sack a manager who the players are with and behind.

We need the whole budget going on a quality forward. Don't care if he's 30, we need a target man who can relieve the pressure on the rest of the team by creating an outlet and space. We've not got the luxury to plan for the future in that role, not this window anyway. Screw the sell on argument, we need goals now.

I don’t think the club brought Maupay in as a replacement striker for Dom. He was brought in to supplement Dom.

Ideally we would have liked to have brought in another striker, but that’s not as easy as we presume it is.
Im not sure anyone predicted that Dom would be injured this much.

I don't want relegation, but there is an element of truth that it may be slightly easier to build a team and playing style in a lower league. Bar the top 6 teams, there is now a cigarette paper between battling 7th and 8th or being in a relegation battle (just look at West Ham and Leiceter city, Newcastle and Fulham).
We have a weak squad offensively with DCL and Richarlison no being available to Lampard, and our problem has been not scoring goals.
The midfield is in a massive stage of transition, with our eggs is an Onana sized basket. Having just turned 21 this young lad needs a bit of time. Unfortunately Garner has taken a knock so not really got to see him, but he will also need a a bit time.
The word 'patience' was pretty much used by every single one of us about Lampard managing at the club, but not even half way through a season lots of fans seem to have already lost them already. No manager has much of a chance at this club, if the fans lose 'patience' with him and any new young players he brings to the club (another thing lots of people have wanted to see happen)
A fair period of time, with a couple or three windows is was is really needed.

The first half of this season was always going to be a bit of a learning curve - given the early start to the season and lateness of the arrivals it is going to take a bit of time getting any sort of team flowing. We also have to remember the rawness of Onana - both age and experience wise. He's been Lampard's 'big' purchase and he is going to be a little bit inconsistent given where he is in career. We all want top young talent, but we need patience all around. You can see Lampard has been testing him out in slightly different roles the midfield - with mixed results, but things have to be tried and sometime it take more than 90mins before things work properly.
We need to give Frank's current squad far more time to develop (than other managers before him have had). Buying young Onana's, Garner's and McNeil's (to join the Patterson's, Mykolenko's and Gordons) comes with slightly different immediate expectations than bringing in the James's, Allan's, Gomes's, Gylfi's, Walcott's, Mina's and Digne's of this world.
I think we pretty much all champion bringing in young players with lots of potential, but we can't jump up and down after a dozen games or so. This is a very new squad of player if you look at the past 12-18months.

If you have actual outlets up front, the midfield won't always play backwards because they'll have an attacking option. We just don't have that outlet and that's putting the back 6 under constant pressure. 1 striker and a creative attacking midfielder instantly transforms the whole dynamic of the team. The world Cup break might actually have done us a massive favour as its a lot less games to struggle through and buys time to get those 2 players in beginning of January.

This is ridiculous, talking of sacking the manager 15 games in to a new regime.
He had one hand tied behind his back in the summer transfer window, on a squad needing a complete overhaul.
He's had to do without DCL for best part of the season.
Fan turning so soon on him are just as much of a problem as anything else that goes on at this club. A complete lack of looking at the bigger picture.
I have massive respect at this time for Arsenal purley for sticking with Arteta as there manager. They didn't set the world on fire from day 1 with him at the helm, and at one stage he looked a dead man walking. It's been a slow burn for Arsenal, but they are benefit  from it now.
There is a plan, there are signs of the right mentality players coming.
Lampard is attracting players to sign for us, what signal does sacking Lampard send to the young lads he has recruited - 10 games or so after the came to the club.
To me Lampard looks a intelligent fella, I dont think has some blinkered playing philosophy, he has an idea of how he wants us to player, but will be flexible to modify this if needs must, he is leaning on the job. Tactically he will improve, I don't doubt that. He is not the finished article as a manager by any means. However, I think given time he could become a very good manager.

we don’t need to make his deal permanent till the summer so why should we? If he was to get a career ending injury in the next few months we would look foolish for pulling the trigger unnecessarily, if that was the case he would be reimbursed his salary by wolves and not us.

He got his yellow for a team foul after Gordon gave the ball away easy. I thought Davies played well to be honest. Moved the ball around nicely. Would not be upset seeing Davies, Onana and Iwobi in the middle for us next game.
All rather pointless though until we have someone up front who can actually contribute. Mcneil, gray and Gordon have had little to no affect the last 2 games.

Why are you so obsessed about him cupping his ears ? It was a show of emotion after scoring a goal years ago and yet you are still harping on about it
Once a player starts getting targeted by sections of the crowd there are two types of player that come to the fore. The first are the shrinking violet types who don’t have the mental strength to handle it so they go into a shell and their form falls off a cliff and they never recover from it such as Andre Gomes
The second is the one who has great character and is strong enough mentally to roll up his sleeves and say fuck you Im going to prove you all wrong and show you I’m good enough for this football club
By cupping his ears that is precisely what Coleman was doing and I personally was fucking delighted he did because I love players who show passion and who will fight for the right to wear the shirt
I don’t think it was disrespectful to the fans in the slightest, it was just raw emotion and if you have somehow found a way to be offended by that then that’s your prerogative but don’t try and make it something its not
Does that make him Bobby Moore ? Of cause not but it does make him the type of guy you want alongside you in the trenches and the kind of fight, passion and will to win that I want in my captain
If you were to make a list of attributes you want in a captain he has them all
    desire ✔️
    courage ✔️
    roll model  ✔️
    leadership ✔️
    hard worker ✔️
Encourages / supports team mates  ✔️
    leads by example ✔️
    model professional ✔️
    fighting spirit ✔️

He might be a thoroughly nice guy on and off the pitch but he also has that nasty streak when he needs it and he is not afraid to let opposition players know it

Depends on what you expect from a captain. If you want shithousery because other clubs do it and perceive that as "leadership", then no he hasn't been a good captain.
If you expect a man of integrity, putting his all into everything (whether his ability was enough isn't the question) and everyone else before him, has earnt the respect of many managers (including one of the most successful managers in the modern era), commits to EITC and beyond outside of the field, is out with the squad training and motivating the players when he's injured instead of resting back at home with his family... if you expect that kind of commitment and dedication as leadership, then he's been one of the best captains we've had in my lifetime.
