On the verge of losing another friend to cancer, admitted to a hospice with the tumour slowly closing off the wind pipe; steroids temporarily putting off the inevitable horrific traumatic end. 
Nobody would put a dog through that agony, they'd be gently put to sleep. I see no argument whatsoever (religious zealotry aside) against euthanasia; why extend someone's life for a few days/weeks so they can suffer for a while and then die in agony? Completely insane.

shaunliam,  really enjoyed reading about your first trip to Goodison, a very special place.  I couldn't get involved in giving advice on the trip. I was born in Liverpool in 1936 but moved away in 1951, so my advice would be a tad out of date.  I could have told you about our good chippy but its probably not there any more. Gone the way of the other one which the Germans bombed!  You couldn't have picked a better game for your first than the Man U one - do you advise on lottery numbers?

Here are the final standings, and what a close race it was. This week, the TT Average won the prediction, with Palfy one point behind. It's the same for the month of May, with TT Average scoring 10 points and Palfy 9.
Drum roll please... For the season, thanks for Palfy predicting correctly Walcott as our first goalscorer, it was a tie: Palfy and Cornish Steve share the honours with 97 points. dunlopp9987 was leading with just a few rounds to go but was pipped to the post (I won't mention of which team this reminds me!), but only 3 points behind. Congratulations, too, to nyblue23, the only other player to finish above the TT Average (which, according to the wisdom of crowds, will always do well). Per prediction, though, there is a sole winner: Cornish Steve.
Thank you everyone for playing again this season. It was close to the final game of the season, and this is the first time we've ever had joint winners.
