GoodisonRoad got a reaction from Steve_E in Marouane Fellaini
    Why?

Similar things were said when Rooney left. If Fellaini does go this summer, we should have the money/wages available to attract quite a few very good players, and that will make us a much more solid outfit overall without relying on Felli as the be all and end all. Holtby for example, out of contract in the summer, if we could add someone of his quality on a free and still have the £30-35m from Felli, of which we would probably see roughly £20-25m (IMO) I'd trust Moyes to bring in quite a few quality players with that sort of money. I think you need to realise we wont go out and try and find a replacement for felli, as i dont think there is anyone out there quite like him, but the team will evolve and with the money Moyes has to spent, he will bring in different players from Felli. We currently look at Felli as an outlet to bring the ball down further up the pitch. With the money we get from Felli, i think we would look to the kind of players who can "unlock" defences, rather than use his physical prowess to "bully" them instead.

What's that meant to mean? Fellaini gets alot of shit about being dirty from opposition fans, I really don't get it, he was being man handled all game and reacted, if he was playing today he would have been in for more of the same. Surprised your lot don't have more suspended playing that marvellous football under that footballing genius "Big Sam"

How is "Cautions are down" a good thing? Just means Refs are being more Lenient doesn't it? For example, the one booking in the Stoke game which was for Time wasting was a joke.

Must've been one of the more partisan forums - there isn't another Spurs fan I know who wouldn't like to see Fellaini, Jelavic, Mirallas, the "Everton" version of Pienaar all in the white shirt.

Speaking of Pienaar, glad we didn't completely ruin him - obviously it's gutting that he scored against us, but he's a cracking little player, never really got a decent run in our team under Redknapp (who ostricised a lot of talented players like Kranjcar / Bentley / Corluka / Pavyluchenko / Pienaar during his tenure), he looks a natural Evertonian anyway, good to see him back at his spiritual home and doing the business.

As for those of you slating our chants - have some compassion please, we're already getting grief left right and centre already about what we should and shouldn't be singing

Incidentally, I must admit - "COYB" is Evertons. To me, you lot are the real Blues in this league, a club with real history. Not like the Chavs from West London and the Nouvea Riche from Manchester

Nobody really goes on any forum to find out what other people think - nobody cares. People only care about giving their own opinion 99% of the time so don't worry about it haha.

Said to my dad when this was on Football focus before, the guy wasnt half trying to stir shit with Felli, and we both said within an hour there will be about 5-6 websites running the story that he wants to leave. The media are basically a load of bellends, fact.

Not being funny, But Cleverly is shite. If he played for a mid table club then there isn't a cat in hells chance he'd be within a thousand miles of the England squad. Personally think its a good level for him to go in at, he is only 18/19 cleverly was a few years older at Wigan I think, so who's to say he might not be on loan at a lower end prem club next year?

I don't think he did too much wrong against Leeds tbh. He made a good save at 1-0 to keep us in it, and couldn't have done anything about the goals really. And Av I know we don't expect "joe hart" to come and warm the bench for us, all we ask is someone to come in and look like they could push Howard, Mucha has had his opportunities, and he hasn't been good enough.

He's played six games and IMO he hasn't done much wrong.

We got him for free so if he does end up being shit we can sell him on for a nice profit, its way too early to start giving him greif so just see how he goes till Christmas when we'll have more of an idea. Out of the 6 times he's played I think most of them have been from off the bench (where we can't really expect him to set the world alight).

How is that not a penalty... He clearly kicks his foot... Jelavic does so well bringing that down too. Great ball from Felli.

gonna have to give up on this one, as soon as i saw this i new it was a red. The one screen shot of the tackle going round is very clever too as it shows the tackle just before shelvey brings his other leg into the tackle (in the scissor movement) which was way over the ball. Nobody seems to be taking into account that it was a young lad playing in a highly emotional game. You could see it coming as he was arguing with Ferdinand before the incident and then at the pace he was charging down their defenders he was either going run straight into Evans or Dive into a tackle and he chose option B. I think its clear the adrenaline went to his head, you could see it afterwards also, he was trying to fight the world when he was coming off the pitch.

Like C said in the other thread, when you leave the ground its a Red.

And no i'm not a "Bias Blue" i was acutally watching the game with 3 kopites at the time and was saying how they were by far the better team and how Utd really dont look like title contenders. I also gave them optimism that they could eventually break out of that dreaded relegation zone..... But as soon as i saw the challenge i knew it was a Red, and Shelvey was stupid because he had let himself get wound up.

Watch the Van persie one again... his foot is off the ground, then when he goes into the tackle, its on the floor as he "slides" into the tackle... Shelvey jumped in and IMO was wound up and did something pretty stupid

Can't believe people don't think shelvies was a sending off, as soon as you leave the ground with both feet going into a tackle its a red. It was a rush of blood to his head, you could see he was getting pumped up just before it after he was arguing with Ferdinand and then tried to take a quick free kick which failed. Occasion went to his head, could see it again when he tried blaming SAF when he was going off! He did get the ball but as soon as you leave the ground, you've gotta go

Oh behave, we always get this when he actually does something. He has the worst touch of possibly any footballer i've seen, and that includes Emile Heskey. I'll give credit where credit's due, he took his goal really well, but a few minutes before that mirallas put him through one on one and with his first touch of the ball he pretty much killed the opportunity, the ball just bounces off him 90% of the time. If you want someone who will "chase down, put himself about and not lose the ball" get me in! i'll do that for £20K a week!

Not me mate. I recognised someone on here from their pic that they went to my college, but i seemed to have scared them off I just quote alot of FO's stuff because he's pretty accurate in what he says.

Made up with the signings! 6! fucking 6! new players! Be interesting to see what the Loan signing is like (too early to even attempt spelling that name) Like Pete said, almost 2 people for every position! We'll Dick CIty, United and Chelsea for the league!

The Fellaini stuff was always going to come up today, im just glad its Arsenal he's "Linked" with. Wenger would haggle for a 50p mix, no chance he would meet our asking price.
