The only thing I'd add is that I don't think he lives a great lifestyle. I think he's keen on the beer, nightlife and fags.
 
But I've always liked him as a player.

Still think he fits us more than Koeman.

Right you wanted De Boer who was a complete flop at Inter and has already been fired.

I don't care what they paid for him, 24 mil isn't a lot for a proven premier league French international.
 
Not many clubs will be parting with players who are priven to have the quality for the prem.

Defo Dean, I would spunk 30 on Butland personally. I'd be happy with Schneiderlan , Butland and a good striker this window.

He's not a koeman type player apparently. Doesn't track back can't tackle doesn't want to press, can't score goals really just a cross machine and pace merchant. Very one dimensional, bolasie does those as well but he works hard on defense, tracks back, is a little bigger and more physical (doesn't get pushed off the ball), and can score (a little better than Gerry there not much).
 
Just think he's not good enough. Mid table or lower la liga side would be best.

I'd send him to Boro for the rest of the season, would prefer Bournemouth though.

Lets face it, parts of the crowd booing him really isnt going to help him.
 
He has looked better in spells and hopefully it continues.

A loan move would suit him. Get him out to one of the lower league sides for 6 months and play without the pressure of your own fans constantly on your back (and hope were not in the relegation battle with them!)
 
Then come back pre season and either shine, or move on.

I think his future depends on who we sign in Jan and the Summer.
 
If Schneiderlin signs then the midfield i imagine will be him and Gueye, with Barkley just in front. If we sign a new no10 then im not sure where that leaves Barkley.
 
Say for complete arguments sake we signed Sigurdsson for example then our best midfield would arguably be...

I think the idea in signing him now is we are able to actually sign him. If he's on a free this summer I think he will end up at a bigger club since they can pay more in wages.

In all fairness his touch is awful, his battling for the ball is awful, his right foot is awful! But I believe he's is being treated unfairly, look at history some of the great strikers in the premiership have all had a close link to another forward or No 10, we don't have that here, he is fairly isolated up front, there is no connection between him and Barkley, not sure who's fault that is, but he doesn't get the consistent support and supply he should, he is just symptomatic of Everton as whole, the potential is there, there is just a few pieces missing and it's proving difficult to find them!

Lukaku will need to prove he is worth £80m, agreed not many clubs can pay that so he is limited to where he can go. PSG have always seemed the perfect fit as they can afford him and he would thrive in that league. I cant ever see him going for £80m so i imagine it would be player plus £60m kind of deal.
 
Koeman just seems a realist to me, not many 'top' players stay at a club for 8 years. He will want to move at some point. Realistically i think next season will be his last unless we acheive Champs League football.

well, wages would be covered for a start. Then there's the little fact of him having time away from the pressures of being a boyhood fan playing for his team, away from mouthy supporters and away from the transition going on around the team. He either impresses and gets his value, more importantly confidence, back up or he comes back and is the same. Where is the negative in any of that?

seems to be working for Wilshire.... but I would sooner he develops here.
