One of the reasons Moshiri wants out has to be because he’s been cut off from Uncle Alisher.

No I’m not saying they didn’t have an obligation to him, I’m saying how do we know they didn’t for fill their obligation to him, if he is misleading them by not divulging to them of his issues and medicating himself with drugs sourced by himself, what else in reality can they do to help him if he keeps quiet about his issues and what he’s doing to mask them.

We made a deal, we agreed the terms, we should pay up. Besides Levy doesn’t seem like the kind to “renegotiate” terms that are not in his favour. This idea that they owe us something is ridiculous.
Fair enough, in retrospect they could have handled his situation better. But that’s with the benefit of hindsight.
We can all be wise and morally superior with the benefit of hindsight.

So just under 3 years left. I wouldn't be offering him a new one just yet. Let the season play out. I don't doubt he will sustain his performance and be worthy of a new contract, we just don't need to add to our wage bill now.

I did and the issues were that it could be seen he was burning the candle at both ends, buy hanging around with group of lads that was doing him no favours, staying up to early hours of the morning playing computer games with said friends, and then expecting to go to training and put a good display in, he was told to give up the partying life and concentrate on his football he chose not to, which may well have been down to his own demons, or his own personal preference, he has since spoken recently about his mental health issues, when those issues first started to manifest themselves he hasn’t said, was it 5 years ago or 18 months, or did he have it 7 years ago, but that doesn’t mean Spurs owe us or him for selling him to us and what’s happened subsequently with his health or career.  Like I said they sold us a player warts and all not there fault he hasn’t come good for us.

There's 6 games between now and the next international break. I'd like to see us around the 15 point mark around then, but that might still be a big ask at this point.
    That's around 11 points from Luton (H), Bournemouth (H), Liverpool (A), West Ham (A), Brighton (H), Palace (A).
Obviously the next two games will be crucial in this regard. We've shown glimpses of how well we can play and the amount of chances we can create. But the key will be can we maintain a level of consistency and put those chances away.
There's reason to be optimistic right now, and god knows we need a slice of optimism at the minute, but I think by the next international break we'll be able to say whether this is going to be another long and depressing season or one where we can look forward to the dizzying heights of a mid-table finish.

He's just one of those players that you don't realise what he brings till he's not playing.

He’s also a senior pro who has won everything in the game, so you would think he is having a positive effect in the background. I’m sure he is showing high standards to his team mates (I don’t mean on field performance by that either) and I don’t doubt that we have many players who are behind in those standards.

2 home games up next against Luton and Bournemouth both very winnable especially if we play like we did against Brentford, that would put us on 10 points and a more respectable mid table position, but more importantly we will go to the shite full of confidence with 3 wins in a row, and getting something out of that game will feel doable. What a difference a win makes to your mental positivity.

Loved the improvised diving slide after his goal today.
Great to see him back and on the score sheet.
Fingers crossed he can stay fit.

Just a point behind Chelsea now lads. Reckon we’ll be challenging for Europe this year!
Hopefully that win will lift the spirits of many on here. It’s all been a bit doom and gloom on here this last week - even more so than usual. 😛
    Onwards and upwards!

I think many have forgotten how good Calvert-Lewin is (including many Toffees) - before the injuries, he was the main competition to Kane for England. The hype’s all about Toney (even with the ban), Wilson and Watkins at the mo but all were well behind a fully fit and firing Calvert-Lewin a couple of years ago. Beto, even if he doesn’t bang 10-15 goals a season, will still be a great signing if it allows Calvert-Lewin to get back to where he was.

World of difference having him at the back.
Does the basics really well, puts in a solid performance and doesn’t make too many soft mistakes.
The result is we look much more composed and solid.

Aside from a bit of naivety in the run up to their goal, I think Branthwaite has had a really strong game.

Almost 20 shots.....away from home! We continue to batter teams who will in all likelihood be bottom half. Those are the games we need to show up for.
No way we get relegated if we can keep sticking a few of those chances away.
