There seems to be a significant bacllash againt the magnitude of the punishment that Everton have been handed out, from what I have listen to and read the shock is pretty much universal accross the footballing media and beyond. I don't think i have heard any anybody say its fair and reasonable. You would hope that this is sinking in with those who may be reviewing any appeal.
It not just people with Everton tinted glasses that are gobsmacked by this.

He's also starting to show he can finish and isn't just a poacher. He could be the next Kane, he really is that good

Because the PL set up an 'independent regulator' without actually having any idea of how they were going to deal with PSR cases.
So, it's ended up being a mish mash of bollocks. They've made right tits of themselves and only strengthened the Government's case to step in.
The press running over themselves to create these click bait suing headlines. I don't think any of them have grasped what we actually got done for.

This whole debacle just beggers belief- £19.5m more than allowed over a certain 3 year cycle that coincided when the whole world entered a period of unprecedented disruption and turmoil.
Add to that the clubs most expensive ever signing get arrested and can neither play or be sold.
The UK government makes sanctions against any business from a whole country and basically pulls the rug from the lions share of our sponsorship.
the premier league change some of the rules on what sort of interest paymnets can be offset for capital investment just as we are committed to the biggest capital investment any club can make.
every single pundit etc is saying the same thing. Everton are being fucked over by the Premier League.

I was going to say, it’s coming across as if they’re making it up as they go along.
They admit we didn’t try and deceive and didn’t get a sporting advantage but then give us a sporting punishment, and now this bollocks.

So….. based on that we could ourselves and many others sue Chelsea and Man City for their league finishes?
fook me. This reminds me of the government in the pandemic,  creating absolute nightmares for themselves.

Fuck changing the style. I like it, it’s rough and horrible and fast and direct. No one will enjoy playing against us. Siege mentality on the pitch and in the stands will do me nicely.

I’ve never understood chasing a nice style of play. The only thing to go chasing is wins, and we’re getting them.

    Good job we won’t have a 58,000 seater stadium isn’t it. 😂
Seriously though, would anyone actually stop going because of the style of football? That’s madness to me. I go to watch Everton. Win, lose, long ball, tiki taka, not arsed.

Not had anyone near me (upper gwladys) moaning about the style of play either. Results? Absolutely people have moaned, as that is still the most important to the club.

sounds like you have a fairly blinkered and preconceeded idea of Dyche.
I have seen a manager actually managed to notibley improve the Everton team this summer. Given the tools and conditions he is working under I think he deserves massive credit for improving and galavanizing this team and getting all those player actually playing for the shirt.  He has said from day 1 it starts with sweat on the shirts - and his team are delivering this at an ever increasing consistency.
This club has been crying out for some sort of stability, so to simply sack a relatievly successful manager after 18months purely in order to bring in a more fashionable one who has a  polar opposite 'progressive' possession based style would simply be foolhardy. We have seen the fall out of chopping and changing managers and styles - why on earth would we do that again if we finally have the oppertunity of a period of some stability.
Do we have the players capable of playing a possession based game? or do we have the budget to bring in players who could to this at Premiership level?

Howe had an easier ride going into the job knowing he would have funds at his disposal. Dyche came to us knowing pretty much the opposite.

At the game the weekend I got some information on Mykolenko and why he seems to have upped his game this season.
there were fears he couldn’t play for the full 90 minutes.
so Everton’s sports scientists asked him to write down everything he ate for a full week when they studied what he was eating it turned out he wasn’t eating the right foods and not enough.
turns out he was 40% deficient in Protein so they gave him the right diet to eat and Mykolenko said I can’t eat all that but he has had to co operate and looks like he’s gone from strength to strength.
at last it looks like we have a sports scientist who knows what he’s doing.
    im very pleased with that.

we have gone from a team who used to shit the bed and lose games like this time and time again, and now become to a team who don't really like to lose.
Far from being the best performance, but scored 3 away goals and still won after being pegged back twice.
a very satisfying result, and like somebody else said it feels like a 2 or 3 point correction to the 9 home points we didn't really deserve to lose.
on the games played his season I think we can solidly say we are a very solid mid table team at the moment.
