I'll be there too chaps. Managed to get some tickets in the Park End for me and my stepson while getting pissed at my Grandads funeral on Friday. Was 'lucky' enough to be a pall bearer and we carried his coffin in to Z-Cars, so have a feeling I might get wet eyes as Z-Cars blasts out at Goodison!!!
Weather forecast is decent, really looking forward to it. Might see some of you there!

Haha. My wife is a Jock. One of them Glaswegian types. Still can't understand her and we've been at it for 14 years.
I'll get there with you one day Mike. You and a good few others on here I hope.

Just breathe in the experience; I only get there two or three times a season if I'm lucky but it feels like coming home every time, have a great trip!

I’m going to this one with the handbag and she’s a gooner, where going up on Friday morning do some shopping see some sites and enjoy some good restaurants, first time in Liverpool for her.
I’ve gone for a draw that should keep the 4 hour drive home harmonious, if we lose she’s getting the train back 😀

We made them poor. That's a key point to make.
We went at them from the go. We could have been 4 up in 15 minutes. Their keeper kept them in it. We beat them to every ball. We doubled up on their men. We pressed them. And we attacked with a pace I haven't seen from us since about October time. I mean, literally, they would be building up an attack and within a couple of passes we'd be up the other end. If we were more clinical, they'd be dead and buried within 15 minutes. We made them shit. We smashed their confidence to pieces and made them feel like little boys.
This isn'tt aimed at you Haf, well it could be depending on what you believe, but we can't keep downgrading our wins as the opposition being pure shite. It's perfectly possible that we play in a way that allows the opposition to do nothing...find no momentum, no rhythm, overthrow their game plan etc etc.

No. Totally get it... I am the first to criticise if the players a d manager Dont deliver so when a west ham manager moans that it was nothing to do with us being good them it pisses me off.
Silva and players deserve credit for the uplift.... quite optimistic.

That was one of the most comfortable afternoons of my life watching Everton.
Particularly in the first half we were magnificent. We were aggressive, expansive, energetic, creative, robust. Nothing but positive in everything we did and it was a joy to watch. We were more controlled and professional in the second half but we were under no threat at all really.
It could have been 5, 6, 7 nil and we need to be more ruthless, but there wasn't a player out there yesterday that had a bad game. I hope we keep this up until the end of the season because when we play like that you can see exactly what Silva wants us to be. And it makes me feel confident that when he gets his team together here that we'll do well.

FFS! We controlled that game for the first touch to last, can't we all be happy with that, yes we should have put a few more of the chances away, but Fabianski was their saving grace today. They weren't good because we didn't give them the chance to be. We played  well as a team from front to back, I don't think any one player didn't perform for us, and Im struggling to pick out one for MOTM.

I agree. Everything we needed to do given the leads we have handed back over the season. It feels a little like a corner is being turned.

Think that 2nd half was a confidence boosting exercise for us. Just do the basics, keep control, bring home the points.
Very good win for us there.

Tbf to Moshiri he went after Brands and Mochi but they wouldn't come. He's then gone for the bloke who is largely credited with Leicester winning the league. On paper Walsh had the credentials to be successful here.
Koeman was poor though. Only had to look at the thrashing we gave them that season. But we did need a new manager, Martinez got rid of all the fitness staff as he had an outdated degree and it showed with our players playing at a snails pace, shortly after that he lost the dressing room. Nice guy, but stubborn to his own philosophy. Shame as if he was willing to change his philosophy he could've grown in to a top manager with us and moshiri's money.

Martinez' first season we did. It was some of the best football I'd ever seen us play and I genuinely thought we were going places. But then for 2 years we played utter shite football that bored me to tears.

You’ve actually showed what the manager did to change things. He’s obviously told them they need to be doing things like that run forward from Gomes. In the first half that sort of thing was non-existent and we were slow on the ball, with very little pressing from our players. But it was evident straight from the kick off for the second half that it would be a different story because we pressed from the first moment, and it completely threw them. We scored 4 minutes into the second half and all of those 4 minutes led to that goal, not just a run from Gomes
We won because we gave our heads a collective wobble and played like a team that’s together and fighting for each other. I don’t think Chelsea imploded at all; we just didn’t give them a chance to breathe.

That first half was just abysmal. How we went in at 0-0 I will never know.
But whatever Marco said to them at half-time, it worked. Literally from the kick off we were at them and I felt we deserved the win, and that half has given me a lot of confidence for the future that we can compete.
