Pat
Media Spec, suggests Yak being AWOl -> Tooo Moyes getting rid of ? Merged these 2 Mark. Seems we got in within a minute of each other
Romey 1878
No problem Pat. I'll be very pissed off if this cuases Moyes to get rid. The first time in god knows how long we have a proper finisher at the club and the stupid idiot may have fucked it up
MikeO
Can't get rid til the summer anyway so it seems a bit of a daft thing for the Mail to say. But bollocks .

JohnDTraynor
The Daily Racist article is stuffed with conjecture and no facts just like the newspaper itself. Whoever wrote it, must assume all the readers are idiots which, if they read the Daily Racist, they must be. "Ayegbeni Yakubu faces an £80,000 fine" Sheer guesswork and designed to encourage people to think that that is what should happen. "Furious Everton manager David Moyes will fine" How does the Daily Racist know how David is feeling or what he plans to do? - they don't know and so on Usual Daily Racist bollocks Yakubu has gone to see family; he'll be back in time. He'll be chastised - then it'll be forgotten.
Calico
Fair enough to the above post. It is a particularly vague article. I just hope he has only gone to see his family.

Randomness
can i just say, if van der meyde is still at this club then why would they offload yak when this is his first offence? i hope to god this is woefully inaccurate. Everton_Worshiper
lmao you guys are panicing over nothing....until the club release a statement saying he is being fined then sold....it is completely made up!
MikeO
As I've already said we couldn't sell him until the summer even if we wanted to. No word on the OS apart from at the end of DM's opinion on Reading, published at 8.00 this morning... "Everton will be boosted for the game by the return from African Cup of Nations duty of Nigerian pairing Joseph Yobo and Yakubu."
MikeO
And the report on Sky would suggest he's back... The former Middlesbrough man has now reportedly been hit with an £80,000 fine. He is set to train with Everton on Friday but Moyes may decide to leave him out of the squad for this weekend's clash with Reading.
Calico
If he leaves him out and we drop points to a poor Reading side AGAIN, then, well... both player and manager will be in for all kinds of abuse from fans.
Bill
Leave him on the bench and play Aj and Vaughan, he wont be missed as much as we miss Pienaar, (no cover).
Calico
Agreed. Hopefully there'll be no dodgy linesman at this game eh <_<

jacko 1990
EXCLUSIVE: BOSS ON YAK by Scott McLeod | Published: Friday, 8 February 2008, 12:48 and its now 1:56, im not einstein but thats longer than an hour Edited February 8, 2008 by jacko1990
jacko 1990
http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/excl...oss-on-yak.html Yakubu won't feature against Reading after his late return to Everton. The Nigerian turned up at Finch Farm on Friday morning, two days later than anticipated, and David Moyes informed him he wouldn't be involved in this weekend's fixture. It remains to be seen whether or not the top-scorer will be on board Tuesday’s flight to Bergen for the Uefa Cup first leg with SK Brann. The Everton boss said the matter was being dealt with privately and declined to comment further. Moyes told evertonfc.com: "All I would say is that it is an internal matter. Yak has been in this morning, I have spoken to him and he won't be included in tomorrow's squad."
EFCfanatic
All the wait just for that! Edited February 8, 2008 by EFCfanatic
BLUE-TAC
Surely that answers the question for now though - he aint playing v reading and the rest (eg fine, brann etc) is to be decided over the next few days. DM had no choice, we have a happy camp right now and it would put out the wrong message if he just accepted the Yaks behaviour. I dont like it but i agree with it. chicagoblue
Of course he goes and does this as soon as I pick him back up on Fantasy. Was really hoping for a brace from him, but this is ridiculous. He needs to at least pass word through Yobo where he'll be and what the deal is.
barryj
It was DM only choice to drop him. Still this says alot about the player(s), Yobo was back on time and didn't take the piss. Really annoyed with Yak as we need him for this game as we can build a cushion between us and 5th if results go as expected.
Josh Berno
Wtf is the yak thinking of... we needed him 2 after our goal drought (which the linesmen didnt help) but if we lose we wont finish 4th IMO a must win and itll be the yak fault if we fail to score.
Ian
Disagree to an extent Josh. I think we've got enough to score without The Yak, we are not a one man team and in the last two games although we havnt scored we have created chances (and even put some away <_<) He has let the team down big time but it will be the players out on the pitch tommorw that will be held countable if we dont win. BUT We will win 2-0 so its all ok :D
