That's a signing I'd like to see happen. Quote
marcopaulo Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 didn't realise he was on a free! well worth that Quote
Ten Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Yep i'd take him, when he plays well he can change games. I like him, wrong end of the age spetrum but on a free, why not? Quote
nesta2003 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Yes please! Has genuine class & could do a job similar to Donovan for us. He saw us take Citeh to the cleaners twice last season so will know what we can do. Quote
Matt Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 we were talkin about him on the bosmans thread i think. 31 years old, still got 2-3 seasons in him (max) but wages i think will be a big deal. Would be a crackin signin though.... Quote
StevO Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 for free a very very good player, with a left foot and pace! Quote
Finn balor Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 Agreed quality player. If he is coming to the end of a four year contract that means he wouldn't be on Arab money contracts so we probably could do it Quote

Ian C Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Would be a quality signing. He's got real class. Quote
dutchguy Posted May 25, 2010 Report Posted May 25, 2010 Wow, i'd really like to see him coming, the couple of times i've seen him play he was the best shitteh player. Quote
mk86 Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 I don't know of him but I'll take your word for it! Quote
foobiezw Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 On a free? Yes please. Love the way Petrov cuts in from the wing. Quote
duncanmckenzieismagic Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 (edited) Im I the only one who thinks hes crap? I know wingers by nature tend to be inconsistent but this bloke takes the piss! Just think back to how awful he was against us at there place last season, and that was by no means a one off I would rather save the money on wages and give it to Piennar Edited May 26, 2010 by duncanmckenzieismagic Quote
Everton_Worshiper Posted May 26, 2010 Report Posted May 26, 2010 I would take Petrov on a free from City but I reckon he will go abroad. Now if only Moyes had listened to me before City bought Adam Johnson... Quote

Now if only Moyes had listened to me before City bought Adam Johnson... ...you and 90% of the people on here!!! Petrov attacking wise is a no brainer, the question is whether he has the will to do the defending/hard work which moyes will demand. Quote
Everton_Worshiper Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I talked about AJ a long, long time ago on here - nobody else seemed fussed at the time. Quote
Ten Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I talked about AJ a long, long time ago on here - nobody else seemed fussed at the time. I was one who doubted his ability to step up and i can honestly say Humble pie tastes a bit like a sweaty fanny. Ive seen him a couple of times for City and now i'm a tad gutted we didnt go in for him. But in saying that he was still a bit of a risk? Quote
marcopaulo Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 any player steppin up is a risk..cahill and lescott where both risks..sometimes you gotta take the plunge ain't ya! i'm also gutted we didn't go for him Quote
Ten Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Lets get him aha Like a 'bag n gag, in the van' jobby? Quote
Finn balor Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 gotta be worth a two year deal surely? Quote
peoman7 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 gotta be worth a two year deal surely? I agree, get him in even if it on a small contract. He has been linked with Villa and Bolton this morning. Need to get in fast if we stand any chance of getting him, there will be alot of clubs sniffing around him. Also Joe Cole is rumoured on SSN to get released by Chelsea today aswell as Michael Ballack. I would love us to get Joe Cole, his wage demands are way above our limit but a big signing on fee and 50grand a week would suit us nicely! He would be a quality signing but I live in hope as we have no chance! Quote
Romey 1878 Posted June 9, 2010 Author Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) You're dreaming if you think he'd accept 50K a week and no European football. Edited June 9, 2010 by Romey 1878 Quote
peoman7 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 You're dreaming if you think he'd accept 50K a week and no European football. Yes i probably am dreaming, i know we have no hope on Joe Cole, it a shame though he will go to one of our rivals Spurs! I keep forgetting we have no european football for next year aswell. By the way how greedy can a player be, he was on at least 80K at Chelski.... 50K and a nice 4million signing on fee would suit many of players! Not like their short is it! Get Landon back andyway solve our winger issues and his USA team-mate Michael Bradley.... i am gonn keep a eye on him in the world cup see how he does. Meant to be good and he only 22. Quote

jofanon Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 An excellent free signing. I'd still like to see Donovan back at the club though. Like the way the squad is being filled out a little bit. Quote
