adamsmith69
Can only see one result here, a convincing home win. We are starting to pull our socks up and think we will have too much for them. We should put our strongest team out and not take any chances. 3-0 Louis, Beckford, Rodwell

MikeO
I'd settle for another Beckford screamer () and 1-0.

Blue 250
I'm thinking that at our best we can meet the challange of Aston Villa or Man City, SO that makes the Reading game massive. In that case, best team and don't hold back. Reading will have no fear, that's what makes them dangerous.Maybe Arteta's rediscovered form (about time), will be just a little bit too good for them.A couple more goals for Beckford wont do him or us any harm. 2-0. efcgenius
I too don't think this will be a walk in the park, if Leyton Orient can keep Arsenal at bay then certainly Reading can get one over on us At a guess I would also say 3-0, providing we put on a real show that is!! COYB!!!!!!!!!!!
Wall Writer
I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm always more nervous playing teams from lower leagues, especially in the cups. As Blue250 said, they'll have no fear, and we've got to make sure we don't go into this one thinking it'll be a walk over. If we do then we're out already. Romey 1878
Vellios is in the squad and Felli definitely isn't. Shorty from NSNO.
MikeO
Vellios is in the squad and Felli definitely isn't. We should be able to cope with Reading without Felli, opportunity for Rodders to step up again. Really hope the Vellios thing is true...want to get him on a shirt for my holiday in Greece and was just going to go with a number nine but it'd be better if he got a proper squad number . I just assumed he was gonna be another Joao Silva, never to be heard of or seen again

Matt
BIG-MATCH FACTS The tie in context • This is one of three fifth round ties still to be resolved. • Reading are the sole Championship survivors; Everton, one of nine Premier League representatives. Gulf in class • Everton are 20 places higher in the pecking order. Head-to-head • This is only the eighth competitive meeting of these clubs. Reading have won one of the previous seven, and have never won at Goodison Park. • Their most recent meetings were in the Premier League between 2006 and 2008, when the Toffees won two, drew one and lost one. That defeat was 1-0 at the Madejski on 18 August 2007. FA Cup records and best performances • They have been met in the FA Cup. • Their only cup clash came in the League Cup in October 1973, when the Merseysiders prevailed 1-0 at home in a second round tie. EVERTON Current form • Looking for back-to-back victories, and their third in five outings (all competitions). • They have won their last two at Goodison Park, and are undefeated in six at home, having won three and drawn three since West Brom's 4-1 Premier League triumph on 27 November. FA Cup form • Accounted for double holders Chelsea after a penalty shoot-out in the fourth round replay at Stamford Bridge. • Won the cup for the fifth time in 1995, and made one appearance in the final since then when Chelsea beat them 2-1 on 30 May 2009. • The season before last was also the most recent time they made an appearance in the quarter-finals. • Hoping to make Reading their second Championship victims, after dismissing Scunthorpe 5-1 at Glanford Parkin the third round. • Louis Saha and Leighton Baines have eachscored twice in this cup run. READING Current form • Shared six goals with Crystal Palacein their last outing, at Selhurst Park on Saturday. • Undefeated in four; having won one and drawn three Championship matches. • Shane Long has scored in each of four ofthe last five games, while Noel Hunt is looking to net in his fourth consecutive game. FA Cup form • Hoping to add the prized Premier League scalp of Everton, to that of West Brom claimed in the third round. • Aiming to qualify for the last eight for the second year in succession. • Long has scored for Reading in both the third and fourth rounds, the latter being away to Stevenage. Romey 1878
Heitinga supposedly won't be in the squad tonight after having a falling out with Moyes. If it's true he'll definitely be gone in the summer, Moyes isn't the forgiving type, you fall out with him once and that's it.

If it's true he'll definitely be gone in the summer, Moyes isn't the forgiving type, you fall out with him once and that's it. Which is silly as he has a big game mentality and was instrumental in our win the last round (Cole nudge).

LexKing
Quite strange that we will again start with 4-5-1. May be Moyes wanna see Bily in action, or then he doesnt trust our midfield vs championship team when Felliboy is out. O_o COYB EDIT: RUmour that Becks is ok, but late from game cause of traffic thats why 451 ^^ Edited March 1, 2011 by LexKing

O_o COYB just said on the tv that beckford was supposed to start with saha but he got stuck in traffic and wasnt at the ground when the team sheets had to be in!! so they put him on the bench! GoodisonRoad
Beckford isnt playing because he wasnt at Goodison an Hour before kick off, when the Team sheets had to be announced. He was late because of an accident on the M62 apparently
amusiccale
Somewhat glad to see that Cahill will be rested -- we need him back to top form soon -- but Fellaini will be a big miss today re: Beckford--one would expect that players would arrive early enough to avoid this sort of thing! rubecula
Well you can't plan for a serious road accident I suppose. Although to be honest I would have thought he would have been here yesterday or at the very least this morning. Geezus I have to be at work for 8 hours a day not two or three. Anyway at least he is on the bench if we need him. Could be a good 'shock' player to bring on if things go tits up. (Hopefullyt things won't get to that stage though. I will be sat in front of tghe TV an watching on ESPN. See you guys after the match. COYB
