Romey 1878
You rekon Distin at LB....and Jonny, Jags in the middle? That's what would make sense, but Moyes will probably do something completely retarded. I hate, hate, HATE players being played out of position (especially needlessly) which is probably why Moyes pisses me off so much.
Hafnia
Moyes seems to have that pig headed streak that Benitez had at Liverpool. Putting players out of position, substituting goalscorers when needing to win. Is it that they need to complicate their role to make it look like a job the average fan couldn't do? StevO
Fuck it just throw Garbutt in. How could Villa possibly prepare for Garbutt and Drenthe down the left? They would have no idea. Lack of preparation maybe, but if we dont know what were doing, they have no chance of knowing!

Peter H
Forget replacing baines, play Heitinga, distin and jags, with saha and straqawarasaharachara up top. 3-5-2. Villa wont know what hit them.
smeghead1
If im completely honest Nev lb and Hibbo rb altho more worryingly with DM enjoying watching players struggle in the wrong position i wouldnt be surprised if we had Billy at lb behind Drenthe now that would be a little scary!! StevO
Laughing at the knee jerking to Baines' apparent injury. it does show how heavily he is relied on though doesnt it? but he is our only truely world class player imo. marcus jones
What does ''World class'' mean to everybody? I always thought it was a starting line up in a world team. Seems like world class has a much wider player list than I thought.
Hafnia
world class = one of the best players in their position in the world (IMO) that puts Baines there for me...

Yeah same here, I think he would be a starter too, but what about other players though? ie... Terry, A Cole, Gerrard, Rooney etc......? marcus jones
No no, what I meant was that world class is a loose term, it should only be attributed to the best player in the world in that position, ie.. people go on about Lampard or Gerrard or even Rooney when Xavi, Iniesta and Messi would get in a team in front of them, I'm sorry for the confusion folks! StevO
What does ''World class'' mean to everybody? I always thought it was a starting line up in a world team. Seems like world class has a much wider player list than I thought. for me, its a player with not many better at doing the job they can do. obviously the example i gave was Baines, i can only think of cole and evra who are in the same class, but then ive not seen every left back in the world. if i was a billionaire he is the only player i wouldnt consider replacing. Gerrard was one of the best a few years back, i think its all taking its toll and id be surprised if he came back as good as he was. Lampard used to be aswell, but not anymore. Rooney is the stand out, he could get in the Barca team, but there arent many that would. Edited September 11, 2011 by StevO
StevO
I've never really thought of Baines as a captain. Thinking about it now, i'd be more than happy if he was. The only thing he doesnt have in his game is to lead vocally, maybe he would step this up with the arm band.
