FairWooney
As soon as i heard this on SSN I thought this is going to be us. The fact that we've been linked plenty of times before makes me think he will be ours. While no one likes the buggar and none of us want to see him play for us I'm sad to say i'd take any resonable midfield player now and if he stays fit and doesn't get himself in more trouble then he is a decent midfield player. GMONEYone
He is a good player when he head is right, but are we really that desperate that we need to sign a little s%$t like him?????? Probably we do!!!!!!! Cant wait till tuesday and all this is over!!!!
blueblood
Considering the history of Barton slapping 10 year old Everton fans in Thailand I'd have thought we'd have stayed well clear of him. DM seems to finally be looking at reinforcing in the right areas, just the wrong player

StevO
always admired him as a player, but not as a man. if we could sign joey bartons ability, desire and motivation on the pitch, and not sign him personal bagage, then i'd be over the moon. fussybear
how many times do you want to punish joey barton? not served a enough time behind bars for you? ffs..does everyone forget we signed ferguson twice, once we even picked him up in a limo from barlineeny. with the right management and he would be a classs act at EVERTON. Adam
Can't see this happening and cant see anyone else signing. Just wish Everton would come out now and say there wont be anymore signings so dont have to keep checking the internet
Everton_Worshiper
This would be player number 2 that I would not cheer for in the slightest if we signed him, player 1 being shandy andy. Not even sure why Barton is still allowed to play professional football.
