If we went for loans I'd like Guidetti but think Bent would be a great short term player with a proven track record and I be shocked if He didn't leap at the chance to come here. All relatively young, except for Brunt, and could create some good competition in the squad. I don't know the status of El Ghanassy's contract, though I know he is on loan at West Brom. If we were to do this seriously, Giggs and Scholes are two players evidently past their best and approaching late 30s, but are still capable and could contribute and have knowledge of the game better than most. Could we get them though. Seems doubtful, but it's two names that I wouldn't say no to if it were possible to get them. Walcott, I don't like much, but you can't ignore the kids potential, and while maybe still available, I simply can't see here, a next move for the player, but still a name that can provide and has proved dangerous and a valuable player to have at your disposal. I don't think we could get in Toure either, but it's someone I would have chosen, Puncheon is a good decent player and you could do a lot worse, Carlton Cole is once again, a worthwhile addition to any side, and Figueroa at Wigan, was a player we were linked with before wasn't it, and has made a name for himself, and could be a worthwhile capture if you can bring him in. Bailey Posted January 3, 2013 Report Share Posted January 3, 2013 Walcott isnt actually that good on the wing imo. He has pace but if the fullback isnt slow then he struggles. He also cant cross and he doesnt exactly have many tricks to beat a man. Walcott should be playing up front and God knows why it has taken Wenger so long to even try it.
