Zoo
Mirallas is the only one in our team at the moment that is capable of taking a corner so we're totally screwed from that type of set-piece if he is sitting on the bench. Pienaar sounds gash too, I wouldn't mind cashing in on him if a decent offer came in in the summer. Edit: It's to tell the players in the box that they are ready. (Avin). pete0
Why do players raise their hands before taking a corner ? Surely it interupts concentration on the takers part. Makes them easier to spot.
Matt
Pienaar?? Just let Baines take all of our set pieces.... Good half, nothing special though. Jela working hard though, and you can see hes worked on his offside stuff. All in all, decent half. Clean sheet and I'll be happy. Dont care about a resounding thumping, want a scrappy win. Something we have lacked all season....

Something we have lacked all season.... Any three points will do to be honest, we could win 7-6 and I'd be happy. The clean sheet is always a bonus too, especially at Norwich who have been so good at home. We just need to stop the sillyness (Pienaar) and settle into the game so we can see it out, three points will do us the world of good (and surely put us in a good mood for the Oldham game). Bailey
Solid if unspectacular. Naismith and Pienaar have been almost non existant, but Jela and Coleman look sharp. Felli and Baines have gone about their business but Gibson needs to pull his finger out. No influence on the game whatsoever.
pete0
Replay of Felli getting bear hugged shows the ref had a full view of it. Disgraceful, I know there's a bit of leeway on set-pieces, but both arms wrapped around has always been a foul.

And osman for that matter I know he scored but if he hadnt what else has he done this game?

Peter H
Thats 3 bodged corners, one worse than the other. Why does Coleman not take them? Coleman has been brilliant both in defence and going forward. We have missed him. Distin and Jags having a good game to. Osman and Pienaar poor (the goal not included) Naismith has been ok but nothing happens when he gets the ball. Does Jelavic not look alot better today? Good movement, the chest down to Felli, the chest on Distins long ball etc.
Fearthainn
I'm impressed by Jelavic today as well. Let's hope he gets a goal in the second half.

pete0
Felli being further forward is such a waste, I'm getting annoyed he's wandering around looking for room/lose his man rather than be the one dictating the play from the middle. Likewise to a certain extent with Osman holding back. (wrong thread, can a mod please move to the Norwich one. Thank you) Edited February 23, 2013 by pete0
Blue 250
Have to be honest, Everton aren't playing top 4 football. We're just shading this......just!

Zoo
Maybe you can't caution the players for holding Felli before the free-kick because the ball is not in play? I dunno.
marcopaulo
he was still holding him when in play we need a 2nd goal while we are on top..i have no confidence in our defence

Fearthainn
Time to get Mirallas on I think. Norwich are starting to press higher up so let's hit them on the counter attack.
Bailey
Could do with getting Mirallas and Oviedo on I think. Pace on the counter would be a big threat.
Zoo
Grant Holt is only a footballer because he plays dirty, he's got fuck all else in his locker. Edit: Agree with the calls for Mirallas. Edited February 23, 2013 by Zoo
Blue 250
Moyes will be praying for a second goal, so he can keep Mirallas fresh for Oldham.

Zoo
When is Moyes going to make a substitution? (not Heitinga on, please) With us being 1-0 up I think he will wait for Norwich to make changes first. I think we will only see the first change after 75-80 minutes. pete0
How's that a foul by Fellaini, reminiscent of the treatment Ferguson got.
Aidan
Moyes will be praying for a second goal, so he can keep Mirallas fresh for Oldham. Mirallas should be able to play 30 min here and start the game for oldham fresh.
Bailey
Sitting back very deep now! They dont have any pace... Push up!
Zoo
Sitting back cost us against Oldham, I hope we at least go for another goal until the 85-90 minute mark. It's too risky to be doing this kinda' thing away to Norwich.
Steve_E
Could we stop going long all the time, please! Howard is doing well catching crosses btw.
