Cornish Steve
Several of us managed to scrape a single point to start the second round of the tournament, and we can all claim right now to top the leader board! For the tournament as a whole, verreauxi leads. Welcome to Geth who has now joined us! Edited June 18, 2014 by Cornish Steve

Cornish Steve
Who'd have predicted that score? Certainly no-one here! Everyone playing is tied for the lead this round.
Guest Nikica
Thought Spain might struggle against them but didn't have the balls to predict a Chile win - went 2-2. Thought Spain would do just about enough to keep themselves in the tournament. Ahh well.
Cornish Steve
Yup. Only one person predicted a Chile win, and that was Rubecula - who takes the lead for round 2.
Cornish Steve
And Rubecula retains the overall lead for round 2, with verreauxi still way ahead for the tournament as a whole.
Guest Nikica
It's just too much to predict a team like Spain to lose, because no matter how bad they have been you know they can produce a moment of magic. They didn't but on another night they may have. It's like Brazil-Mexico - I fancied Mexico to get something but didn't have the balls because everyone else was predicting Brazil win. Mexico got something but at least 6 times out of 10 Brazil would win. You could argue I lose ground by backing Algeria to get something against Belgium, but Belgium aren't a team who have been at that level where it's very risky to go against them. Perhaps we should take more risks with our predictions. Verreauxi is doing fantastically btw, and well done to Rubes for backing the Chileans. verreauxi
Never would have predicted the Chilean win...but what a showing. Congrats to them. Matt
Cornish Steve
Do I get a prize for finishing last in the first round and now being tied for the lead in the second? Congratulations to MikeO, who also correctly predicted the result of the latest game and is closing in on verreauxi for the overall lead. Geth - I took the liberty of reversing the leaderboard this time around.
Guest Nikica
Saw myself near the bottom and and frowned If Gervinho hadn't scored I'd be closing in on Mike. Edited June 19, 2014 by Nikica
