Naismith wasn't up to his usual standard but scored a cracker. No one had a poor game, I thought Hibbert and Osman were solid throughout. Newty82 Posted November 6, 2014 Report Share Posted November 6, 2014 Really pleased with that tonight. Took our foot off the gas 2nd half and strolled in. Lukaku stepped up to another level tonight. Looked really impressive. Many top notch performances out there. Most important is that hopefully some fans will get over this knee jerk reaction when they see the likes of Hibbo, Ossie, McGeady, Distin starting. We have a squad of very capable players. I know we all have a preferred starting 11 but those same 11 can't carry you through an intense season. You need a squad. Good stuff. Has a much better footballing brain than McCarthy and Barry. Was so refreshing to see someone showing for the ball, Passing and moving and putting his head up looking to go forward. He ain't got a chance under Martinez though. Lille were really bad. Made us look good when in all honesty it was a very average performance. Very little quality in the final third.
