MikeO
RIP What does this mean for the club? Presumably a new chairman? No, he was Life President (which was an honorary title) and board member. Bill remains chairman.

MikeO
Thanks for those dunc; I think the club are right to go for silence over applause, he was "old school" and applause is a modern idea. Reading lots about him over the last couple of days added to what I already knew; he really proves that "caring conservative" isn't always an oxymoron. Romey 1878
There was going to be a minute's silence anyway (for the victims of the Bradford fires) wasn't there? So I don't know if it's anything to do with choosing silence over applause.

Paddock
We sent him off in fitting fashion yesterday. So glad we performed like that. The club should dedicate that win to his memory. Without him there was simply no glory years of the 80s Top top bloke.
