Shukes
Coleman by a mile. A player tha has that mentality to challenge every duel on the pitch.Unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Matt
Romey 1878
Much like the players I can't be arsed putting the effort in to vote.
MikeO
Mistakenly put "Villa" in the title instead of Sunderland, sorry for the confusion.
markjazzbassist
McCarthy, had the will to win, loved seeing him shoot more today. Ossie runner up, on his day he penetrates the final third and links up the best of our attackers.
JoeQuince
McCarthy. Was always there to win a ball or put pressure on Sunderland. He was forward-thinking today and unlucky not to have a few checks in the offensive columns. He kept us ticking really well. My only knock for Coleman today was that his final ball was so disappointing every time. He's often lucky with a final ball after he consistently puts himself into great positions, but today just wasn't his day. An afterthought: Lennon really provides Coleman with the security to do what he does best. That's my biggest argument for why we need to get Lennon back for next year. It's true neither of them are the world's most technically-proficient players, but they can create havoc together and not expose us while doing so. Cornish Steve
McCarthy. He's been given license to score in the last couple of games, and it's made a difference.
pete0
The ball bounced off Coleman yesterday, thought he was our worst performer. Pity we didn't find him earlier it was showing that he had not had as good as most training as a youth.
Shukes
Worst performer? Think that's a bit harsh. He acted as a sweeper for much of the game and did a very good job. He also had a few efforts on goal and managed to put a few balls in foe others. Though Lukaku and Stones were our weakest players yesterday. Apart from Howard,Jags,Stones, Baines,Barry, McCarthy, Barkley, Osman, Lennon, Lukaku, Garbutt and Mirallas , I agree
