I dont buy into the "without him it would have been x" because he was doing his job but the exucution was everything you would ask for. Its called balance. No player is perfect. Gana was indeed ahead of Zouma in the first half but he was that bad in the second that I just could never vote for a player who performed that low. Keane and Richarlison were also very good first half but they too dropped their levels significantly enough that they didnt deserve to be picked as MotM. When your under 8s you only ever kick the ball forward... as that’s where the opposition goals are. When you learn to play football they teach you to be able to pass the ball backwards to go forwards. It’s the next level. Some just don’t get it. Heath Posted January 2, 2019 Report Share Posted January 2, 2019 Went with Jonjoe Kenny, although Idrissa Gana Gueye did have a very good game. I thought it would difficult for JJk considering our run of bad form, but he did well. He had no problem getting forward to support the attack, got a few crosses into the box, and hit the woodwork with a shot. Obviously, being fresh helped him a lot.
