JTStanley1 reacted to Bailey in Newcastle (Home) Tuesday January 21st
Ancelotti will need to make a decision on how he wants to play this. Out from the back or more prepared to go long and direct quickly.
If it's the former then Holgate needs to stay at the back, Bernard needs to start and we will probably have no other option but to play Kean and DCL.
If we want to go longer, Holgate could come into midfield, Walcott is almost nailed on to play down the right and Niasse is probably a better option to play with DCL (urgh did I just say that).
If I remember rightly Gordon has played central for the U23s. It's a bit of a step up but he looked at his liveliest when he was central. I think he has a strike on him too. Holgate's pace will be important at the back too so I would go with this:
Pickford
Sidibe (or Coleman) Holgate Mina Digne
Walcott (pick 2 CMs) Bernard
Gordon DCL
Play out if it's on but otherwise play it forward, squeeze up the pitch and win those 2nd balls. DCL stretching the game with Gordon buzzing around him. Bernard linking the defence to the attack and Walcott threatening to get in behind (but wasting the final ball). Just leave the midfield two to do the very basics because that's about all they can do!

JTStanley1 got a reaction from Palfy in Brighton (Home) Saturday January 11th
Pickford
Sidibe Holgate Mina Baines
Gordon Davies Delph Bernard
Kean DCL
Richarlison needs a rest so I'd put Gordon on the right.
If Ancelotti wants rid of players like Keane, Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin then they shouldn't be on the bench; Gibson/Feeney, Adeniran and Baningime should be taking those places as they would at least be hungry to impress when they get their chance.

JTStanley1 reacted to duncanmckenzieismagic in Cenk Tosun
Or he has managed him perfectly
I’m not an Allardyce fan by and means but his handling of Tosun has been spot on. The lad was clearly not fit enough when he first came over and taking him out of the firing line and getting him up to speed on the training ground instead of just throwing him in at the deepens is now paying dividends

JTStanley1 reacted to EFC-Paul in Muhamed Besic
Besic and Schneiderlin are totally different players I'd say he's more of a hybrid of Gana and McCarthy he's just not as good as either in their respective stronger area's but he is a good little player who's been dogged with injuries and not having a prolonged run of games, he's no world beater but to compare him to a yard dog like Cattermole is ridiculous

JTStanley1 reacted to tanora in Cenk Tosun
I thought you might be interested in what's being talked about Cenk & Everton in Turkey.
Here's one of the rare sane Turkish tv sport shows broadcasted (others are mostly crap), they talk about pre-determined subjects in a limited time.
The one with the weird head band is thought as one of the best european football experts here and the fat one is indeed a basketball commentator but he talks about football too. Anyway,
Weird guy: X
Other one: Y
X: ".... ok, my turn for question then, can Cenk -who started in bench in his 3rd game- return to starting lineup again?"
Y: "I think yes, I think he's their best striker. But there's one thing -not spesifically for Cenk- if a player goes to another team and league, he may need some time to adapt. I'm not saying this is a must but this can happen. Some players adapt directly...
X: "Thierry Henry for example. But Alexander Lacazette still struggles..."
Y: "Moreover, Everton has serious problems about feeding the strikers. They pretty much play alone. You need to carry the ball up front, I get it but they expect him to be like Milan's Shevchenko, who was starting dribbling from middle of the pitch. Team needs to get used to play with him, he needs to get used to play with the others. Its only the 3rd matchday..."
X: "You know what's worse? If your manager is Sam Allerdyce, it's too hard to adapt him. I would have never adapted him if I was playing in his team. I'd go crazy. First game for example (mentioning Tottenham), for making Rooney play as playmaker, he put Sigurdsson -who always scores against Turkey- to left flank. What can he do in left wing? Tottehham couldn't make him play there, he went back to Swansea, played in his original position, did well and Everton bought him. Just make him play in his original position.
Its really hard to understand Allerdyce, I talked to Cenk while the rumours were going on, I told him "there's a young left winger there, Lookman, you'll be a perfect duo" and he sent Lookman to Leipzig. To Leipzig! I'll go crazy!!! Leipzig probably said "oh, another Bruma, let's buy him" and Sam probably looked at Lookman's stats in winning air balls/heading and said "meh". Those damn statistics!
Y: "I would never sell a player to Leipzig. If they want to buy, he's probably way better than I think and I would never sell."
.....(unrelated)
Y: "its still to soon to talk"
X: "Cenk will do it eventually as he's very hardworking. No worries. Sam will go and Cenk will stay."
Y: "Yea, just give him some time and he will be ok."

JTStanley1 reacted to pete0 in Arsenal (Away) Saturday February 3rd
Don't see why only the manager is getting abuse. He picked the players, he never told them not to put a foot in. Too many players aren't arsed whether we win or lose. Schneiderlin, Gana, and Keane should never play for the club again, absolutely no commitment to the club. Be surprised if we've won a game were all 3 of them started. Alladyce doesn't like losing, annoyingly went for a clean sheet and nick a goal tactic, whereas some of these lot couldn't give a fuck about the result. If the players can't stick to a game plan for 20 minutes then they need looking at more than the manager. 3 down in 20 minutes is a disgrace when you've set up for a clean sheet. You can't blame the manager for that, that's all on the player's heads.
One positive it looks as Davies should be starting every week from now on.

Sorry but Bolasie is a terrible player. He was terrible befor and he’s terrible now.
The injury was bad and shit for him but he’s just not good enough. It’s that simple.

She's shite at being PM so I guess she could have a go up top for us, gamble though.

I think sam could take us down lets hope so

JTStanley1 reacted to StevO in Theo Walcott
I Think he would be really useful for us. A front three of Gylfi, Cenk and Walcott could be very interesting.

How is a 6-0 aggregate "just about"?

JTStanley1 reacted to nogs in Who should replace Koeman?
United play atrocious football under Mourinho too.
BTW I don't like Van Gaal either as a person. But I think it's hilarious when we're scratching around trying to decide a Portuguese cup winner and a man who has kept Burnley in the Premier League that fans can be outright dismissive of a manager with his credentials! What do you bloody want??

JTStanley1 reacted to EFC-Paul in Mason Holgate
It's his natural position he's a better option than Cuco the clown at RB but the lad isn't a RB and certainly not a RWB
I'd much rather have him there than Williams with how poor him and Martina have been I'd rather chuck him centrally and start Kenny at RB let the lads gain experience they can't do much worse than the shower of shit we've witnessed thus far although I know it won't happen like

JTStanley1 got a reaction from patto in Atalanta BC (Europa League Leg 1) [Away] Thursday September 14th
I think we need to put some width in the team to stretch the opposition a bit for the first time this season as all of the CMs isn't working too well. I'm probably changing too much of the starting XI but I'd go for...
Pickford
Holgate Keane Jags Baines
Besic Davies
Lookman Sigurdsson Vlasic
DCL.

JTStanley1 got a reaction from Sibdane in Goalkeepers
On the topic of Begovic, yes he is a great keeper but I still don't think it would be worth sacrificing Howard for him even if we could. I would personally rank Tim in the top 4/5 keepers in the league and he has now become an icon for the club, he is a big star in America, especially since the World Cup and he is also a go to man for NIke adverts because of his American following. I'm not saying a player should be picked ahead of someone else because they bring other things to the table that makes up for their footballing ability but I think we'd be stupid to even think about replacing him at the moment.

JTStanley1 got a reaction from pete0 in Everton Without Fellaini.
I'd say he was more of a left winger at the moment, from the one game he's played at left back he doesn't look good/experienced enough to play there yet but he does have the attacking capabilities to play well on the wing.
