Yes we do need him anything is better than seeing Naismith or osman on the wing. Also this guy is like shit hot, he's the next big thing out of Barcelona. Also is it not good for all parties? Which could mean we get unwanted Barcelona players in the future or take players who want first team football off of their hands?

Hmm two options of a season long loan him who will have a low wage and is young and overall more energetic or Barry who is 30 something and on 120k a week so wages are a stumbling point on trying to make a loan deal work and we still seem to want to try to bring Barry in on loan. Would make more sense to bring Ki in over Barry. But this one looks to be slipping away just like other targets like Moses who looks like he will be joining Liverpool on loan

I don't think spurs will loan him out. I think they would like to keep him and use him in the Europa league and other cups and keep rotating their squad around and use the depth they have I'm their squad to full advantage

Not sure how reliable that is but that is very little money these days for a player even a youth player. If this website is accurate then he is on the same sort of wage as Vellios, Garbutt, Mcaleny, Kennedy and Duffy. So the same argument could be made for these youth prospects that may not make it. Maybe we should let go of all them to save wage because you dont rate them. I'm sorry your argument has very little substance considering you are most likely basing it on 2 preseason games and 1 league cup game against Warnocks dirty Leeds. He's played 2 preseason games this season, preseason is tough for most players considering he has only just come back from surgery he had towards the end of last season give the lad a break.. I wouldn't blame him for the Leeds game either he was thrown in against Dirty Leeds a ground in which we don't have a good record at the mentality from the start of the game wasn't good and if anyone is to blame that was Moyes. I wouldn't totally dismiss a players future at our club primarily based on a couple of preseason games.

I don't find it hard to believe at all. How do you think managers sign random players from different leagues around the world their scouts give them reports on what kind of player they are, their potential and their ability. So our head scout has gone and a new one has come in it doesn't make all of our previous scout reports and files from scouts that probably still remain at the club obsolete does it?

I read somewhere that the fee is around 1 million pounds because of him being in the final year of his contract can't remember the source where I read it. Think it was a Spanish source

Got to say I'm not overly excited by the types of players Martinez is bringing to our club. Not sure how he hopes to achieve getting us into the champions league in 3 odd seasons with these types of investments in these players. Really hope he makes better signings along with these otherwise it's going to be a depressing summer.

My thoughts exactly was hoping more would come of our supposed interest in Wilfried Bony.

I was at the Norwich game and we were just so poor at defending crosses in many of the games leading up to it that it didn't take much for our defence to get ripped apart we were shocking making the sane mistakes we had been making for weeks he wasn't that impressive we just folded defensively. At 28 years old he's not near the right age or quality we should be looking at. Jozy Altidore a younger better similar player to him would be a better option. I understand Sunderland have made an enquiry about him and he's been in good form in the Dutch league and scored a great volley for the USA against Germany a few weeks ago.

Owen Coyle has pretty much confirmed on 5live that Kone will sign for us this week. Not going to lie I DON'T want him he's too old for the money we are paying, Martinez said he wasn't necessarily going to go sign Wigan players and he could be looking at a more broader market? Please tell me where he's been looking because there has got to be some younger better striking options available. Does he not understand we had the second oldest team last season and its not going to get younger buying a 29 year old for 6 million. Can't say I'm that excited about the names being linked with us since Martinez arrival and certainly won't be excited if we do sign Kone. People like Bony would be a much better option he's younger and has sell on value, Kone has none and we won't get our value out of him. Frankly, I find Darren Bent a waste of space. Neither do I see how he would fit in with a more fluid passing style. He's more suited to the long ball.

Jozy Altidore has been good this season has scored 23 goals in 33 games for AZ bare in mind it's the Dutch league but he's been impressive this season. Andreas Cornelius. Wissam Ben yedder is more of a number 10 or an attacking midfielder but he has scored 15 goals in ligue 1 this season and he is only 22. Jelle vossen
24 years old and scored 16 goals in the Belgium league another would be Ezekiel of standard liege 19 years old Nigerian forward with 14 goals this season. Wilfried bony 31 league goals this season. Alfred finnbogason 24 goals this season and 24 years old I think.
