its very strange this season. cause we have one of the best squads we have had in years when we dissapoint by not beatung swansea or lagging in other games, it doesnt seem to disssapoint me as much as it used to cause at the back of your mind you know we are going in the right direction, progressing as a club, playing lovely football at times and waiting for the click.

we need to shoot more from outside the box.
 
we need to mix up small and long ball play a bit (becoming predictable)
 
we need to practice set peices on the training field.
 
we need to play lukaku exactly hiw we did today. not coming deep and playing off the last man doing this, he had three really good chances to win it for us today.
 
we need to take more one touch passes facing goal to suprise opposition and open the defence up.

It's as simple as this. We play three attacking midfielders so that Lukaku can play off the defenders shoulder point to where he wants the through balls and smash the back of the net. What he is doing is coming too deep to get involved and playing mindless passes.
 
I am quite worried for lads confidence at the minute. When he walked on the pitch at the final whistle, you could here the everton fans singing for Eto really loud and he looked like a man who has clearly had his nose put out of joint.

You don't want Robles in goal cause he looks dodgy but your quite happy with an Eratic clown in goal making mistake after mistake. What is the point in even having a second keeper if we will never use it for "competition of places"
 
He looked fine in the Wigan goal and he has not had enough game time to prove himself. You can't stick with Howard just because of your insecurity for Robles ability cause Tim will just keep making mistake after mistake.

Not worried. If we play his style of play we will win more than we lose. Not many teams can say they dominate games and get beat. Our heart wasn't in it last night. If we played full strength we would have won it end of.
My only concern is we should have real competition for places but if Baines or Coleman get injured we are fucked cause last night proved that thats where most of our set up play comes from and teams ate pegged bag because of them.

No getting away that et'o was impressive. You skim over issues just enough to back your claim. What about that et'o was helped with the defenders already being run ragged for 70 minutes before he was introduced, meaning this helped the bloke. I'll go back to lukaku against America again. And to say we should start with et'o and leave lukaku on the bench is laughable once again. Leaving a £28 million pound striker on the bench is something everton can not afford to do. You don't do something like that after three games,more like two due to his fitness against Leicester.
