  1. That has been proposed, but if it comes in it'll be from 25/26.
  2. https://www.toffeetalk.com/topic/33627-motmnvs-brentford-home-27042024/
  3. I actually thought in just meant getting off a train if I'm honest
  4. Detraining is the partial or complete loss of training-induced adaptations, in response to an insufficient training stimulus. Detraining characteristics may be different depending on the duration of training cessation or insufficient training. Short term cardiorespiratory detraining is characterised in highly trained athletes by a rapid decline in maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max) and blood volume. Exercise heart rate increases insufficiently to counterbalance the decreased stroke volume, and maximal cardiac output is thus reduced. Ventilatory efficiency and endurance performance are also impaired. These changes are more moderate in recently trained individuals. From a metabolic viewpoint, short term inactivity implies an increased reliance on carbohydrate metabolism during exercise, as shown by a higher exercise respiratory exchange ratio, and lowered lipase activity, GLUT-4 content, glycogen level and lactate threshold. At the muscle level, capillary density and oxidative enzyme activities are reduced. Training-induced changes in fibre cross-sectional area are reversed, but strength performance declines are limited. Hormonal changes include a reduced insulin sensitivity, a possible increase in testosterone and growth hormone levels in strength athletes, and a reversal of short term training-induced adaptations in fluid-electrolyte regulating hormones. I thought everyone knew that
  5. Can honestly say I've never once worried about what results the teams around/below us were getting. If we'd have become reliant on them dropping points it'd have been different, but that was never the case; it was always in our own hands.
  6. Next manager is on a hiding to nothing, don't think Slot will fill the slot very well; rebuild certainly needed. Poor little cherubs.
  7. Good grief, that's an eleven in a million chance, seriously unlucky! https://www.ed.ac.uk/edinburgh-infectious-diseases/news/news/covid-vaccine-linked-to-low-platelet-count#:~:text=nationwide study suggests-,Covid vaccine linked to low platelet count%2C nationwide study suggests, with vaccination remain very low. You should've bought a lottery ticket!
  8. Mathematically two (we just scored hopefully making this redundant). If we get one we'll be nine points ahead of Luton, if they win their last three while we lose ours and they make up a seventeen GD deficit they'd be above us. Very likely.
  9. That'd put you off for sure, did your doctor say it was caused by the vaccine?
  10. There's a lot of misinformation now as well.
  11. I just got out of the bath all by myself (I have an electronic seat fitted, no humans have been damaged by witnessing the process). First time since February last year! Amazing what a derby win will do for you
  12. Which is absolutely fine. You've always been clear that you weren't going to have it, but you've never said it was because you'd heard it'd make your dick fall off...checks side effects list
  13. It's really the most embarrassing, pathetic bollocks in so many respects. Everybody knows (Tory MPs better than most) that this asinine joke of a policy is a massively expensive attempt to get votes, nothing more. It won't deter anyone from attempting to cross the channel if they have a 1% chance of being shipped off to Africa. Immigration needs fixing for sure, but this government has no interest in doing that, they just want to con the masses into thinking they're being tough on it to get votes. That cunt Chris Philp doesn't have two brain cells to rub together, how do these morons get into positions of power?
  14. Evetually I'm sure it will, just for the CEV at the moment; I was asked how I qualified but they didn't ask for any proof...although it's fairly obvious in my case. And, free choice and all that, but I prefer to make my decisions based on expert medical opinion and research, rather than social media driven rumour.
  15. Booster jab today, was surprised to get the invitation, not really talked about anymore.
  16. You mean like, "Very optimistic...seen some progressive stuff and a real reason to believe he can go up a level"?
  17. The thing I read said they'd been suspended by their club, quite possibly inaccurate though. https://metro.co.uk/2024/04/24/two-premier-league-footballers-suspended-club-rape-allegations-20708014/
  18. Close up on Klopp reminded me of this
  19. Two started tonight and another on the bench, so not them it would seem.
