yep and i don't blame him for not coming. good try by roberto to get a top quality backup though, can't fault him either. we have seamus coleman who is a key player and top notch RB, i think it best to look for a veteran backup who knows his role or a real youngster prospect aged 18-20 who is okay with riding the pine for a few years.

honestly i think the starters can play both swansea and man city. the FA cup match agaisnt Carlisle will be a reserve side anyways so it's more like 2 matches in that time. if RM uses all 3 subs somewhat early against Swansea to rest Romelu, Gerry, and Mirallas our 3 speed players, they should be fresh enough for Man City.

Worth a shot steve. Ter Stegen is one of the top young keepers in the world though, not sure how attractive we are to him without Europe. Plus his wages are probably massive.
