Absolutely mind blowing.  For one the manager was on the ale with the team.... he's got to be the standard bearer.  Yeah fine - "have a few beers boys - been a good trip... bit of down time and get a bit merry"  - he's got to be the one who represents the tone of the night.

my reading of the situation @patto is that dyche got carried away, and got "accidentally" heavy handed in a way that stopped the players in their tracks.... otherwise why did Tarks and Coleman feel the need to standup for their teammate.

One way or another Dyche apologising means he knew he'd fucked up... the fact that the players needed to prompt him to do it means his status has dropped. They will not have the same respect for him now.?

You took the words out my mouth.
the fact he came back into the room and apologised wow he won’t be happy with that.

So you’re telling me Dyche went to a team dinner with a pre conceived plan to slap Patterson because he identifies him as an easy target amongst the squad to exert some authority? Like, seriously?

I never said that at all I said he picked his mark.
Dyche is lucky it never went further than it did or he would already be out on his arse.

  3. I’ve only just heard of this today I’ve hardly been on line and don’t read newspapers.
some people think this is the daily mail doing it’s thing on Everton.
well this is true and quite serious I expect Dyche to be gone in the summer you can’t go round slapping players while out on a meal.
it was Coleman and Tarky who took Dych outside to have a word.
it was worse than is being reported but he had to pick Patterson didn’t he the prick like a typical bully picked his mark.

  4. Went on line this morning and cancelled they said I have to take it to a DPD depot to send it back so it’s up to DPD to send me a label to post it.
they send me an email with the address and I have to print it and provide packing for it.
if I had gone the 3 store I could just hand it in so much easier.

  5. Well I chose three 4G home broadband I think I've made a mistake already.....I do have the option to send it back but I'm sure there will be a charge but there's no information on the website.

I don't think any player can use what is termed Dyche ball as a excuse. There are opertunities in most game for our offensive players to  show moments of quality or make moment of quality happen. The problem is as much the quality (or lack of) of the player as it is the system in which they play.

I remember when Harrison played against us for Leeds, he had a couple of stinkers, if I remember correctly the last game he played against us he was particualy poor.

Being a hard worker has always been his best attribute, genuine quality being spasmodic at best. Dyche ball actually probably suits the worker like Harrison's of this world.

£8M for Gray was business it seens we couldn't turn down, give our finances,  his fringe position in the squad and him being on his final year.  Being on his final year and he low fee, that has to go down as mostly profit on the books.

He's not done anywhere near enough to earn a £20m transfer.

Look at DCL I know he s had injurys but he s been awful under Dyche the hoof ball has done him no favours yes I know he s had chances but he is isolated all the time trying to win the hoof ball from pickford this is tactics from Dyche.

Gray offered a huge amount of discontent and "I don't give a shit" too.

talented player but I'm sick of players taking the piss - which he did.

I never heard anything about him taking the piss I know what you said earlier.
but I blamed Dyche from the beginning he just didn’t like gray

He should bring Cody Ebere up to give our senior attackers coaching sessions. 11 goals in his last 8 appearances, a hat-trick yesterday.

There’s levels and there’s levels unfortunately there is no Wayne Rooney in our youth set up.

Classic TT, let's discuss Southampton in the West Ham match-day thread for no obvious reason😂

The point is about Everton hardly ever playing football through our midfield.
Pickford is instructed to go long to DCL who is struggling with this type of football.

I like the look of Chermiti. Seems to have a bit of aggression about him.

Okoronlwo looked to he flying in the reserves. He looked a man in a boys team so I hope he doesn’t come back and carry on where he left off.
Maybe he’s one for next season.

Dobbin will probably have a couple of years growing out wide.

I’m not sure Dobbs has it but hope he comes through.

I’m not trying to say that at all mate. I think you’re trying your hardest to make something out of nothing mate.

Im not going to argue anymore. Dom is hands down our best option for me. But he isn’t a natural goal scorer by any means. That shouldn’t be up for debate.

Beto is a three legged kangaroo on skates for me and offers the square root of nothing. Honestly for me that miss was absolutely terrible, but no surprise.

For me it’s time to start trusting the youngsters for a few matches and seeing what they can offer. If they offer nothing, we’re in the same boat.

Unfortunately we don’t have much upfront Chermiti and Okoronkwo are our only options Okoronkwo has only just come back from injury and won’t be fully fit.

Wouldn't rule Brentford out, absolutely leaking goals and Ben mee went off injured.

I agree on Luton though. Need Barkley to miss a good few weeks - if he's not playing they can't transition from defence to attack.

Regarding Barkley there was a Luton supporter on talk sport today he said Barkley is the best player he’s ever seen playing for Luton he said he didn’t realise how good he was.

Hindsight great when you see him doing well for Luton, but a signifcantly different expectation on him if he came back here. He would have divide fans massivley on day 1, we got plenty on our plate, without the noise (can't beleive I am using this!!) of what would be a contraversial signing to a big proportion of fan.

We do appear to have missed out, but I can very muchj understand why the club avoid him as wasn't much appitite for the majority of fans based on both what he apparantly did to the club when he left and what is footballing showing had been over the past couple of years with both Villa then Nice.

If he didn't already have Everton baggage, I am sure we would have been tempted to bring him in on a free, especially if he is only getting £30k a week on a 12 month contract. Credit to Luton for getting what is turning in to a great deal for them.

Credit to their manager who is doing a very good job I like him.

  14. Regardless of what happened we missed out massively Barkley in the 10 would have gave us some goals.
and someone who can actually play through the midfield.
we’ve wasted millions on Beto and we’ve got no money.
sir Jim at United is a businessman so I expect Barkley to end up there.
Sir Jim is one horrible Bastard he had men on strike for wanting proper pay increases.

Probably is, but what can’t be denied is that he went to Chelsea to have his medical and sign his contract, he had his medical but didn’t sign the contract.
He comes back to Goodison and his only explanation is that he wasn’t ready to sign hahaha 🤣, the he spends another 5 months on the physios table being treated and paid by us, to then sign for Chelsea in the next transfer window, for 15 million less, more money in his pocket, and closer to fitness.

And we are expected to believe by some that it was all Koeman’s fault why he left, when in fact he had a contract on the table to sign for over 6 months but refused to sign.
Then we are told that how the deal panned out was all down to his agent, and he was oblivious to what was going on, and never had a say in proceedings again hahaha 🤣

Fortunately his return to Goodison a few weeks ago should show to the owners and management, how the majority of fans feel about what he did, when they booed him off for shitting on them and the club, and that message should tell them don’t even think about bringing him back he’s not welcome.

It’s not about personal vendettas it’s about trying to improve Everton and on a free he 100% improves us.
it was Chelsea who decided not to sign him not Barkley he didn’t have a choice in the matter.
he is better than all our midfielder’s.
