Nah. I'll call shite shite when I see it, he could have done better but it was an atrocious ball.  He's shit no doubt about it but I thought it was a poor ball.

    Pickford 3 goals tonight

This. Not the easiest ball to tap in, fizzed and awkward height.

Disagree - Coleman hit a rising ball which made it easier to clear bar

I look at that Chelsea line up and think this is a real chance to get at them.
How on earth Young is getting a start again is beyond me.
Beto needs a big game here but he would benefit so much more from Gomes playing instead of Doucs (who admittedly is due a goal…)

    Yeah hopefully it’s nothing serious.

I don’t agree with this at all. None of our central midfielders pass well in my opinion and McNeil is a much better crosser than direct passer. Harrison would fit nicely in a possession based side but he’s the only one that comes to mind other than Gomes.

Most of the team can, but we play a fast long ball game and players feel the pressure.

I rate Pickford but I would be shocked if a team was to pay £70 million for a keeper, especially a premier league team with this new found focus on FFP.
I agree Virginia looks to have potential but throwing him in to a bottom half team would be a massive risk.
Alex Meret of Napoli is somewhat rated & his contract expires this year.
Ideally I would keep Pickford but this is the business model thrown upon us now. I would sell Onana or Pickford, in that order before Branthwaite though.

Look, we have to face reality that if our financial situation dictates it it won't be Pickford we sell because the fee won't be big enough.
It will be for Onana and/or Branthwaite.
I'd rather it just be Onana we sell because I think he's quite easily replaced for what he currently brings to the team, but we paid quite a big fee for him in the first place and his previous club reportedly have quite a big sell on clause, so that all dilutes how much we will actually benefit from his sale.
On the other hand, it may have to be Branthwaite as well because on the books his sale would be massive for us because he cost very little. Carlisle probably have a sell on clause too but it'll be smaller in his case as well.
It's all shit but we need to be realistic.

It's not a mystery that Evertonians will get behind a player that works his arse off.  Denis Straq is one of the worst players we've seen but the endearing memory was him running his arse into the ground.

Marcus Bent, Steven Naismith, Kevin Kilbane, Richarlison, Gana,  - all players who weren't as technical as others but their efforts in the shirt will stand long in the memory.

McNeil came off that pitch knowing that never matter how bad his touch etc on the day is - all he needs to do is  bust a gut and we will love him.
hopefully the likes of Onana seen it too.

That's kinda my point...we've not been happy with hardly any!
Ancelotti, in my opinion, got away with his name. But so often we were dull as fuck to watch. However, I think if he'd stayed, with the funds we had then, different story a season later.
I think we sacked Silva too early. I liked him. But, again, we shit the bed and fans were calling for his head as soon as results didn't go our way.
    Same happened with Koeman.
Allardyce and Benitez shouldn't have been near the club.
Dyche, while far from perfect, deserves more credit than what he's sometimes being given.

His urgency to get back and throw a tackle in was great. I hope Onana was watching it.

Well I’m guttered to see us lose points but that’s more to do with our recent poor run than the actual points. Another 4/6 points picked up in that run and we wouldn’t be stressed right now about relegation.
Earlier I said based off the 6 points deduction over 3 years that this deduction should be 2 given that 2/3 years have been accounted for.
However, when reading the reports and looking at the process - it’s an absolute farce. Asking for 5 points originally. They have wanted a total of 15 points off us this year, disgusting & absolutely out of proportion.
We do have to accept that we made our bed with the 2 charges this year given the dispensation given last season however, this second should never have eventuated due to double jeopardy & the actual structure of the charges.
I would have little issue with this is teams from 1st-20th are dealt with the same merit, however they clearly are not.
This is a time to rally together though, it’s been a tough couple of seasons at the foot of the table but staying up after all this is a massive fuck you to the PL. One that they undoubtedly deserve.

Exactly this, let’s now channel our anger into coming together and galvanising our strengths to beat the drop and stick to fingers up to the PL, as the saying goes don’t get angry get even, let the higher hierarchy of the club fight an appeal, let the team and fans fight to win every point available to us before the end of the season.

Doucoure definitely cares mate. I'm not a fan of him as a footballer technically speaking but I won't fault his hear or effort.
Onana is a tough one, he has moments or glimpses where he can run the midfield on his own but then puts in a tedious job back on a counter. I'll give him benefit of the doubt but I definitely want to see more from him, as we know he can do it but it will only increase his price when he undoubtedly leaves.

I am adamant we only got the penalty against Newcastle because Ashley Young carried on about it & made a scene. It’s an absolute shambles the VAR process, you’ll only get a decision like that if you milk it - which is everything that’s wrong with football.
