Don't be stupid. Our revenue is half or less of the next biggest clubs. We can never compete with them if that's the way we conduct our business. Best we could hope for is 7th. No, we need to be clever and stop wasting money.

I can't even start to fathom how anybody takes this rumour seriously. 30 years old and flopped in Spain and Germany.

Not as much as we need some midfielders who can create chances and tackle - . Joking to one side - we definitely need some more players who are willing to roll up there sleeves and put a tackle in when its needed. Massive bonus if same player they can also create chances - Buendia sounds just what we need to get more out of the wingers we have already paid decent money for.
So would you play him alongside Gomes or Davies?
-
Rather Sarr than Buendia because we need a winger who can score.

This is where I'm at - not exactly prolific is he and now approaching 30?
If you consider 27 "approaching 30" then yes. Last season was his least productive since 2015/16. He scored 10, 9 and 7 in the previous seasons plus assisted 26 goals in total during those three seasons. A Zaha of 2018/19 would walk into most PL teams (10 goals, 10 assists). But IIRC didn't he mostly play as a forward that season?

Napoli want 40 million. And he's 5 years older.
-
Anyone else sick and tired about this and wishing the club would just say they are not interested in the player?
-
Ancelotti and Mourinho seems to think that.

Missed a comma there.

what chelsea fan is gonna be excited by pope? how about england's number 1? the big clubs want the big signings not the droll 10m signings. look at united signing pogba when they could have gotten a ton of players for 1/3 the price. sells tickets and kits.
Chelsea are looking at better keepers like Oblak.

Not sure Lössl could be worse than Pickford at the moment. Really bad mistake that almost cost a goal and let in a near-post shot from a rather small angle. And at least two minor mistakes that fortunately didn't lead to anything.
-
Another Pickford masterclass today.
-
On what do you base your claim he's one of the best? Makes more mistakes than any other keeper in the PL, one of the poorest save percentages, poor with crosses, not good positionally.

He’s the best player in the world and we aren’t in that market.
Second best.

His wages alone would cost close to ten million even if Barca pays some of it so no way we should also pay a loan fee.

For players this is just work. We fans seem to forget this.

CB, CM and RM/RW would fix the most urgent positions. And that interview didn't talk about loans and free transfers.

Yeah, put yourself in his shoes. Would you risk a torn ACL and jeopardize a contract worth 20 million to play a few extra matches for your current club?

if there is anyone who can cope with a lack of midfield @Palfy it is an old head. they know positioning better than a young-in. i'm really warming to Silva here, another free (like fraser possibly) that could be smart business during an uncertain time of spending.
David Luiz says hello.

Don't think people appreciate that's he's quite good. My main issue that his main position is about the last position we need strenghtening. Unless he moves to right (where he has played, a few times this season) then I can't see the point.
-
We will be linked to a bazillion players between now and whenever next season starts. Links to these peripherial ManU players is expected as we have signed so many players like this in the past. Most likely this is just their agents drumming up interest.

Maybe that’s why nobody has taken them up on it!
Point was, if Spurs value their naming rights at that level, Everton getting less than half shouldn't cause any issues.
-
Think he got that shirt from Iwobi as a present.
-
It's not that much. 10+ years means less than 20 million per year. Spurs are looking for 40 million p/a.

How long would you plan on keeping a 30-year old player who has flopped every time he left Italy?
And comparing us to City is absolutely ridiculous.
