I've just read on the Everton website that the players want to defend their unbeaten record until the end of the season, a record they descibed as "unbeaten in eight games, apart from the defeat to Champions Manchester City".
If that’s true and it was said in a serious manner then that is fucking shocking.

I just hope he’s not rushed back then gets injured worse.
Not arsed one iota about Iceland or Siggurdsons dreams.

I don’t want him to play in the world cup. Hope he gets rest over the summer and gets s full pre season in.

A new manager please.

Can’t believe Gana didn’t get it- he was outstanding yesterday.

I accept you have your viewpoint, I don't agree with it so lets leave it there.
We will see what happens to Allardyce and his clique in about a months time, then we will know.
And I hope I’m wrong- but I don’t think I am. He’s saying imo and if he is ( taking away the fact I hate the board for letting him) I see absolutely no reason why the club needs to make a statement to announce this. He’s not under pressure for results- the fans just hate him.

Given the fans are very unhappy with Allardyce, that there is media speculation that he will be sacked in the summer, and that there has been a meeting with Moshiri, don't you think its strange that the board have not come out and said something like "Allardyce will be our manager next season" or "We are happy with what Allardyce has achieved"
We have heard nothing, which is strange given the aforementioned media speculation and fan unrest.
Allerdyce has said they discussed plans for pre season and next season- there is your andwer. We’re going to finish 9th at worse- do you honestly think the board are arsed about making a statement to appease a section of supporters when results have been a lot better than they were ( in general at least)
They have no need to publicly back a manager who has taken a team that everyone was saying there was a real possibility would go down (our own fans and jounos, pundits included) and steered them to 8th. Unfortunately he’s done the job he came in to do and probably exceeded expectations so they have no need to publicly back him- he has 12 months on his contract and is doing a half decent job (results wise) so they probably wont feel the need to say anything.
That’s what makes it all the more unpalatable to me- that this fucking board are happy to accept the mediocrity and drivel being served up because we’ve managed to finish 8th. It’s a joke and a huge part of why I never renewed. I was convinced he was gone at the end of the season but bit by bit, I’ve come to realise I was seriously mistaken and the board are no better now than they were 10 years ago.
Absolute joke.

Yes, did you not see the banner at the Huddersfield match or read about the chanting about him?
Of course I did- I said with the board, not the fans.

The manager is under fire you wouod expect the clubs owners, and press department to come out to defend him.
Or at least to give a run down of the meeting Moshiri had with Allardyce.
Is he under fire tho- with the board I mean. It looks like we’ll finish 8th now.

Because of the speculation about him remaining manager, because he had a meeting with Moshiri.
They don’t need to make a statement though- the manager has explained what the meeting was for.

Easirst 3 points you’ll get all season today pal.

I think this is just Allardyce manoeuvring for a bigger payoff. As MikeO said if he was staying Moshiri or the club would have released a statement about the talks. They haven't, he's going. It's just a question of when and how much pay out.
Why would they need to release a statement? He’s contracted for 18 months they would never release a statement to say a manager who has 12 months on his contract is staying on for the 12 months .
It looks to me very much like he’s staying and I doubt very much he would claim he’s met with Moshiri and planning for next season if that’s not the case.

Given Arsenal's points tally, 6th was even achievable especially when you consider we could have taken points from them making a 6 point swing.
Arsenal beat us 9-2 on aggregate- 9 fucking 2 then he said we couldn’t compete with them and need to accept it. They’ve lost to most of the lower league sides this season.
Spurs - 7-0
Arsenal - 9-2
Man U - 6-0
Man City 4–1
Atalanta 8-1
Lyon 5-1
of the top 6 only Chelsea and the Shite have not absolutely whalloped us this season fucking Burnley took 6 points off us, we get drubbed 4-1 by an almost relegated Southampton team, West Brom took 2 points off us and we're extremely unlucky not to take all 6 and we’ve won 2 away games all season. Stoke and Newcastle being our only 6 point games. The WHOLE seasons been a catastrophe and has not gotten a tiny bit better.

I hate the DoF model. We should drop it altogether imo.

I’m not sure those quotes are accurate as there is nothing anywhere else about them. You’d think Twitter would be awash with it but there’s nothing.

Surely he would think if he got themperforming well it would stand him in good stead of being kept on?

We've been through three managers and struggling to get top 8. Main reason we're top half is thanks to Pickford and freak goals from an outcast.
Because we’ve had no full backs or striker to hold the ball up for almost a full season. It’s not hard to understand Pete. It’s no coincidence we’ve stopped getting battered since Tosun, Coleman and Baines have bedded back in. It’s fuck all to do with the central modfield pairing- they’ve been chopped and changed all season and left exposed by having one full back who isn’t good enough to play right back playing left back and a young lad who’s not good enough for prem football playing right back and the striker is that isolated it just keeps coming back at us.

Rooney has been decent this season, he’s scored some important goals, kept a cool head at Anfield with the pen and has given 110% in every game he has played . His passing at times has been atrocious and games have passed him by but all in all I’m glad he was here this season.

Successful- other than Rooney, Barkley and Davies (and the last two aren’t even close to the first one) how has it been successful? I’m not saying I agree with selling them but it’s hardly a United type youth system in the 90s or a Southampton one.
