If that's knee jerk my reactions are slower than Howard coming off his line to clear a cross.

At his best, he would have been the first name on the team sheet ( for me ).
Clever player who's link up play with Baines was as good as any partnership I've ever seen.
Every team needs a player like he or Osman to get by the parked bus, shame both players are past their best.

I really would hate to see him go. I don't think we'll get as much we deserve for him, and I really thought it would be him, Barkley, and Gerry as our attacking midfielders this season. I'm curious to hear if he has anything to say about Martinez if/when he transfers.

Would prefer it if things could be sorted and he started playing at his best again. Not going to happen though so he may as well go. Shame.
Hopefully we've got a target lined up to come in.

Just playing Lb for the experience. Luckily Rm hasn't gone as mental as he's portraying.

You have a habit of knowing absolutely nothing about something and then offering an opinion that is (unsurprisingly) completely wrong. It gives me a good laugh, keep it up .

I understand the ideal. When it costs you as many points as it does us, at least review the philosophy for crying out loud!

I agree wholeheartedly. I think our failings this season, just like last season, are Roberto's failings. Inability to close up shop and keep a lead, inability to defend set pieces, no plan b, not defending as a team, not closing down the opposition, our players generally not being up for it, ineffective use of the squad, etc. But, some suggest throwing the baby out with the bath water. Some suggest selling some of our best players or making giant changes in our squad. Some see players as wholly inept while I see problems in execution and planning. Some see our club as a sinking ship. I just think we need to keep cooler heads about all of this as fans.

Had time to think about this one, it would be easy for me to get pissed off and argue with a childish prick who just seems to want to troll. Let's face it, we are all pretty pissed off as "fans" right now.
 
Here's some thoughts:-
 
Martinez:- has built a very good team, he deserves the chance to manage this team. Does this mean he is above the risk of sacking or criticism? Absolutely not, as per my rationale with Rom, no one is too big for criticism whether you are a free signing or a record signing.
 
A few sticking points roberto... stop being a stubborn prick! You've clearly had issues with some players and you are clearly in debt to a few who stuck by you. Move on, get the best 11 in the right positions. Drop barkley, he needs it. Tell Rom a match is over at 90 minutes, not 45. Find a leader and get some balls.
 
In periods we look good but there is no urgency, the tempo needs upping. We need someone Barking at the players. There is a smarmyness to our play when we are ahead, like we are gonna coast it. Need to get nasty.
 
The critical part is the leader who won't stand for any shit. Too many nice guys. Rooney will be ideal, the likes of Barry and jags should be that person but they aint. The likes of a keane, viera, Adams, the player that makes the others think "he's pissed off, better get moving"
 
For me Gerry has been the player of the year, without him our goals would be so much less. Get the best out of him and we will make a move on top 4. Just difficult to be optimistic at the moment the as we look weak.

Lol, as Abbey Lee Miller says it's not getting to the top that's hard it's staying there. All eyes are going to be on Mike O from here on in.
Everyone wants to beat the leader and we'll all be gunning for you now, and more tough sounding trash talk intended to intimidate you into going to pieces with your next few predictions.

We have missed Jags the last few weeks.
I think with him in the side we have that little bit of bravery needed to fight to hold onto a lead.
Jags has football marks on all parts of his body....he's like having an extra 30% of a keeper.

I think the players and the manager have just been complacent in our last three, thought we only had to turn up to win against "lesser" opposition. Hopefully Leicester's position in the league will concentrate their minds and we'll get ninety minutes instead of forty-five. Still no doubt in my mind we're potentially a top four team. We just need to get on a run and Christmas would be a good time to start; it destroyed us last season, hopefully this year we'll turn it around.

Unfortunately I think these past 3 games will make the difference this season - we got 3 points from what should have been 9. Liverpool, Man U and Tottenham also dropped points on the weekend so I think this round has to go down as a big missed opportunity. If you add on those 6 points that we dropped, we'd be in 4th place with an upcoming fixture against Leicester that could possibly hoist us into 3rd, but instead we are languishing in 10th.
 
We are playing really good football 70% of the time, but perhaps not having the experience to close out games is a negative side effect of having young talent in the spine of the team.

And we see time and time again managers with money to spend assemble a great looking squad and do nothing with it.
It's a crying shame, and even worse for us because we don't have the resources that we can throw another 100 mil at the manager to rectify the season.
This is his 3rd season and we are seeing the same mistakes week in week out.
I know it's easy to sit here and say this in hind sight when it's not my job on the line, but really...
What can happen in the dressing room at half time (Bournemouth, Boro & Norwich) that can change how we play so radically? And then there is nothing done (subs or change if radios) to try and alter it.
It's exactly the same as the start of last season. How can we be a season and a half on and still be doing the same thing?
Thankfully enough of the players are in much better form than they were last year of we'd be....
Imagine if Lukaku wasn't scoring and Barry, Coleman and Kone were playing like last year, I'd be losing my mind.
 
Rant over quite simply we are to good for these results and I do not see Martinez being able to change.

I don't think many people are complaining about Kone's performances this season. It's more that he is obviously knackered and needs resting. I want him to be able to play at a high level all season, and not be burned out by new year.

All my excitement is gone. Only thing rm can do to win me back is win a trophy. Otherwise I'm done with him. Would rather someone else who can manage properly and use subs and play players in their right positions.
