plaidharper got a reaction from Romey 1878 in Yannick Bolasie
Hoping we can sell him and recover at least a little tiny bit of the money we wasted on this guy. After 6 seasons in the EPL (4 w/ Palace and 2 w/ us) he has only managed 11 league goals. ONLY 11. In the 15 games he featured in this season for us he managed 1 goal and zero assists. (only 1 goal last season too)
If Lookman was given his spot permanently, he would fly by him in terms of goals. No question.
Palace bought Bolasie for 600k and got us to take him for 29 mil.
Let us hope this summer we have more sense in terms of transfers.

1. Lottery win.
2. Scarlett Johansson moves in.
3. Stella Artois offer me directorship.
(I'd take two from three)

plaidharper reacted to Palfy in 3 wants for next season
As this season fell off the rails what 3 things do you want to make next season better, mine are
1) A new manager preferably Rafa.
2) A top CH to lead the defence.
3) An attacking LB.
For me they are the 3 most important things at present to start with next season.

I can't believe how much we've gotten for him honestly. I think we're getting the better end of the deal.

With it rumoured that they'd had a falling out it could mean the opposite.
Good luck to him in America though, I think this has been a move that's been decent even though it's come to an end a year early.

Safest thing about Sam and the rest of the club has been this.... nothing to play for mentality.
Though we’re on the last game of the season, and had we picked up two more points.... that’s 2!, we would have been in contention for Europe going Into the last game of the season.
O know the goal difference is huge, but if we had won a couple more game, it would t have even made a difference. Burnley earned their place, by beating us.

Likewise, but I won't believe it's confirmed until it's on the official site.

The corruption theories are becoming like something from a Hollywood blockbuster, I love the idea though in years to come the film will be the man who destroyed a football club, but they were warned by Cornish Steve who never gave up on his mission to discredit the lair and thief that was big Sam Allardyce.
Write the book Steve I'll buy it.

Is the tide of opinion slowly turning on whether Gana is good enough reading the last post I would say yes, also Saturday someone come out with a backlash of discontent about him, I think the number that post on here has risen considerably more than the 2 Ps and Seve that believes he isn'tt good enough to get you up the league.
Can we now please concede that there is an element of truth in what Pete and myself have been saying about him for the last 18 months or so, even if you only agree with a fraction of it because on the basis of Saturday's game he'd struggle to get a place in a 1st division team.

If that’s true and it was said in a serious manner then that is fucking shocking.

I think it is not "He was never wanted here but needed" but more like "He was never wanted here but no other reasonable human being was available at the exact moment and you know the rest of the story".
There are a lot of managers like him around the world who manages all mid or bottom table teams in their career constantly. They are always well-known public figures, well-connected in the business so they can get any job when the opportunity arises, might have some cup or play-off successes somehow.
In my country, there are some names exactly like this. Sam is one of them, English version of them. Correct me if I am wrong, he has no significant success in his career, his name was mentioned in 3 investigations and one caused his National Manager post. His football style, his tactical approach is designed over "save the day" mentality, is old-fashioned AF.
I'll give him that, he is good at promotion/relegation battles or good at keeping mid-table teams around mid-table but the point is Everton, not a relegation team. They have struggled, they have been guideless but the core inside the club is not about "relegation". He helped the team to climb up on the table, good for him. But his post and after match statements, his treatments of players and the fans were always like he is managing Bolton again, Notts County or any other team.
I'll admit that again, he is a good handler but not the kind of manager you'll want to see around more than one year. You can not build a team according to his plan. His plans are all about sucking your life energy with a party pooper attitude. He is not dumb tho, he knows fans hate him, he knows his days are limited at Everton and he trolls everyone. I mean look at this tactics, look at this squad selection. You are safe at 8th place and after a silent half, converting your tactic to 5 men defend + 2 defensive midfielders? Wtf does that mean? What are you trying to achieve?
I'll tell you what, let's watch the games under his reign together again, see the gaps between midfield and forward, calculate it together and invent a game together: "Let's guess how much will it cost us if we take a cab between the sides of the gap of midfield and forward".
Like Besiktas alone was not enough in my life, I support another carcinogenic club now lol. Proud of myself. I'll die young.

Hello everyone haven’t posted here for a good 4 years but I’m always lurking. Decided to make a post after what has been a cancerous season.
The problems this season are created by our midfield there’s no movement for the ball in front of Schneiderlin, who as much of a piece of shit he’s been this season is still a quality player. You can’t pass the ball foward if there’s nothing in front of you.
I really think we should be looking at Aaron Mooy from Huddersfield cheap option if they go down aswell . Whenever I’ve seen him he runs their midfield and I just get the feeling he’s an Everton player when I watch him.
-Need a pacey replacement at LB for Baines.
-A young left footed CB.
- a manager that wants to build a team around lookman, Walcott and Vlasic’

Gana - Please someone explain it. I don't know why this guy gets a game no shot no dribble no pass no positional sense. He can tackle but it's useless without the ability to pass it to his own player.

selfish, careless, undisciplined, his career so far reminds me a bit of Ricardo Quaresma.
even if he is cheap, huge risk.
