Great to get a second win on the bounce, will do wonders for our confidence, especially as we were having to dig deep after their goal, and so good to see good options from the bench at last. Really looking forward to bing back in my seat on Saturday.

So just under 3 years left. I wouldn't be offering him a new one just yet. Let the season play out. I don't doubt he will sustain his performance and be worthy of a new contract, we just don't need to add to our wage bill now.
It’s less than 2 years, June 2025.

Doucs based on radio feed, started us off and seemed to keep the momentum, unlucky not to have had a brace.

Are we still doing match day commentary on the club website, I can see the blog but but not the live commentary. I’m in Spain atm if that’s the issue.

There was a good interview with a Football finance journalist on BBC Merseyside radio this evening, it can be listened to in BBC sounds app on Total Sport Merseyside it ran from just after 6pm for 10 mins or so. He sounded as if he knows his stuff, and is a blue also.

Another solid composed performance from him yesterday, looking more like one of the first names on the team sheet after each game.

Me too, he was totally committed unlike most of the others.

So far:
1) Robbed at Fulham by incompetent officials (and no apology so far as I saw) and a keeper on fire. 9 shots on target, 10 corners.
2) Awful against a flying Villa. 2 shots on target, 6 corners.
3) Denied by a keeper on fire vs Wolves. 7 shots on target, 7 corners.
4) Sheffield United away, missed the game but broke the duck and got the first point. 6 shots on target, 6 corners.
5) tried to and nearly successfully parked the bus, it took a fantastic goal for the 2nw best team in the league to beat us. 1 corner, 1 shot on target which is awful, but Arsenal were limited to 4 shots on target (and thank the Gods for Pickford).
My point being that bar Villa and Arsenal, we've been creating chances where we weren't in the past 2 seasons against teams that are currently our direct competition. That's progress and, by law of averages, all this effort will pay off. Performance-wise, we should be on 7 points and would be, bar the ref vs Fulham and Sà vs Wolves.
If you only look at the table, it's all doom and gloom. If you apply context, there's still reasons to be optimistic.
Enough of this rational thinking, this is the place to rant and rave and sack managers every six months.
Having said that, we really need to get some wins and points, Dyche needs to use subs sooner, and when we’re loosing like yesterday add to our attacking ability, not swap a defender like for like, actions like that will start fans turning against him.

Unable to post as site was down most of the day, I still would have been wrong though !

I do love the shouts of wait and see.
I obviously hope those people are right and 777 don't turn out to be what a lot of us fear but if they're wrong it'll be far too fucking late once we wait and see.
True, but in reality what is the other option, do we all remortgage everything we own and make it a people’s club?

Has all the right attributes, but rarely utilised them, far to self centred. Thanks for a few glory goals, it should have been more.

What an idiot, I was looking at the points for this month . Goodison Glory joins me on being as shit as can be.
I'm doing worse than Everton, that takes some doing!
I’m a touch less shitty atm

Just watched the highlights from yesterday’s game, I think we should give a lot of credit to Patterson for our 2nd goal, his initial pass starts the move and he gets himself in to a good position for the cross which is excellent. Hopefully it will give him some needed confidence.

Beto, for me, had to listen on talk sports commentary as we were driving, the commentators were singing his praises all game, looks like he will give us some aggression up front.
Pickford with a couple of excellent saves, expected really and Branthwaite carried on from a decent showing on Wednesday.

If we can get him out of the door for £20m+ we are doing well. If we can find a replacement then even better!
That’s how I look at it also.

I’m just waiting to see what happens, too old in the tooth now to fret over who is and who isn’t coming.

He’s had plenty of opportunity to prove his worth here, he hasn’t, moving him on will be best for all.

I find myself thinking the same thing every home game. I've watched them do all that in the warm-up and then it comes to the actual game and it's like they've never seen a football before.
I think we use the warm up to get all of that silly nonsense of hitting the ball beyond the keeper, and save all the straight at him ones for the game itself.

I think that’s well put and shows that he is doing a decent job, 11 defeats in 26 isn’t great but from where it shows progress, let’s hope today adds to the win ratio.
