Let's be fuckin clear... he came into a shitshow of a club with no actual forward/striker 9 months ago. Once he had one, we've won 2 games and should have 2 more if not for officials and keepers.

He joined 30th January 2023. Played 26, won 8, drawn 7 and lost 11 which is a win ratio of 30.77%. Nearly all that time with a toxic environment, no striker, no transfer budget to speak of, etc. Etc.

If anyone thinks any other manager could've turned us around in 26 games, you need that bump on the head seeing to.

I think that’s well put and shows that he is doing a decent job, 11 defeats in 26 isn’t great but from where it shows progress, let’s hope today adds to the win ratio.

    So far:

    1) Robbed at Fulham by incompetent officials (and no apology so far as I saw) and a keeper on fire. 9 shots on target, 10 corners.

    2) Awful against a flying Villa. 2 shots on target, 6 corners.

    3) Denied by a keeper on fire vs Wolves. 7 shots on target, 7 corners.

    4) Sheffield United away, missed the game but broke the duck and got the first point. 6 shots on target, 6 corners.

    5) tried to and nearly successfully parked the bus, it took a fantastic goal for the 2nw best team in the league to beat us. 1 corner, 1 shot on target which is awful, but Arsenal were limited to 4 shots on target (and thank the Gods for Pickford).

My point being that bar Villa and Arsenal, we've been creating chances where we weren't in the past 2 seasons against teams that are currently our direct competition. That's progress and, by law of averages, all this effort will pay off. Performance-wise, we should be on 7 points and would be, bar the ref vs Fulham and Sà vs Wolves.

If you only look at the table, it's all doom and gloom. If you apply context, there's still reasons to be optimistic.

Enough of this rational thinking, this is the place to rant and rave and sack managers every six months.

Having said that, we really need to get some wins and points, Dyche needs to use subs sooner, and when we’re loosing like yesterday add to our attacking ability, not swap a defender like for like, actions like that will start fans turning against him.

I find myself thinking the same thing every home game. I've watched them do all that in the warm-up and then it comes to the actual game and it's like they've never seen a football before.

I think we use the warm up to get all of that silly nonsense of hitting the ball beyond the keeper, and save all the straight at him ones for the game itself.😱
