They’ve done it to me again, I’m actually hopeful we will get at least a draw tomorrow

Don’t see why that can’t happen, maybe even better, it’s going to be a wet pitch after all the rain we’ve had and what’s to come.

Beto is already doing his job.
It allowed Dom a couple more weeks to get fit, and is also giving Dom motivation to perform.

He is strong in the air, strong on the ground. His touch isn’t as bad as people think either. He has already shown that his first touch is designed to instantly put defenders on the back foot. Snatching at his shots a bit, but that’s down to a desire to impress. He will relax.

25m to play as back up for. 70m striker is good business isn’t it?

Beto has taken a huge amount of pressure of Dom being our only person who can lead the line. Dom being injured or not fully fit knowing we only had Maupay as his replacement would have put increasingly more pressure on him to return too soon, knowing that everyone was expecting him to perform. Having a similar player takes that pressure away, and I think it’s showing in how Dommis now back and playing more freely.

  3. I don’t think the overall performance was that far form the other home games, bar Arsenal, the key difference was we scored first, early no built on it, I think we would have beaten Fulham, Wolves and Luton if we had scored first.

What was really nice, was all three goals were not subject to VAR and we were able to celebrate them like we did in the old days.

Just gonna throw this out there…… his first touch is nearing James Rodriguez levels.

very very good. Technically looks so good.

I haven’t seen enough to agree or disagree, but I do know he’s able to use both feet (Dwight take note) James was predominately left footed.

I think Dyche is in big trouble if we lose on Saturday. I’m tired of all the chopping and changing but at the same time I’m not arsed if he goes… I can’t stop caring and still go every week but Everton are just meh to me - nothing surprises me (apart from when we actually win). I try to block the negativity as much as possible and avoid the subject of EFC with non-Evertonians as it’s enough to send me mad!

That’s exactly how I feel atm

The facts and the stats 2 games ago made his record the worst of any manager I believe I’m right in saying in our recent history, I don’t know what other facts there are that make that record not admissible. He had the same players has Lamps did and he got the sack. I do get that managers need time but the first 4 league games of the season and lucky win against Doncaster were very good grounds for concern and criticism.

Gordon left in Jan, so that’s one down.

Not having a fit striker hurt us badly in the first 4 games, chances were being created, particularly against Fulham and Wolves, we lost all shape when DCL took the he’d injury at Villa.

We have seen improvement, long may it continue starting this afternoon. I’m just about to leave for the ground now

Let's be fuckin clear... he came into a shitshow of a club with no actual forward/striker 9 months ago. Once he had one, we've won 2 games and should have 2 more if not for officials and keepers.

He joined 30th January 2023. Played 26, won 8, drawn 7 and lost 11 which is a win ratio of 30.77%. Nearly all that time with a toxic environment, no striker, no transfer budget to speak of, etc. Etc.

If anyone thinks any other manager could've turned us around in 26 games, you need that bump on the head seeing to.

I think that’s well put and shows that he is doing a decent job, 11 defeats in 26 isn’t great but from where it shows progress, let’s hope today adds to the win ratio.
