That's what I meant by the juggernaut, you could hear it coming as well as feeling the ground move. 5.6 is nothing in comparison to a 7+ though, must be terrifying!
There was a smaller one when we were there more recently but I was driving so didn't even notice it, but my wife did.

Well, we are still expecting a strong earthquake but the today's science can only give a time range. Some seismologists are more pessimist as they are expecting it to happen in the following 5 years with a hit over 7.0 Richter scale. Some are more optimist, they don't think it will be over 7.0 and they expect it in the following 20 years. Long story short, nobody knows a shit It can happen tomorrow or 20 years later.
Only one thing is certain, that fault line is tense for years and it will break at some point and it is a huge fault line with a strong background. According to the "unbiased" projections of the expected earthquake (with mediocre parameters), it will be a huge downfall for the nation. Millions of people expected to die right after the hit (Istanbul's population is over 20 million at the moment) and more in the following days as projections tell us for a couple days it won't possible to leave or get into the city. Not even mentioning huge weigh on the already sunken economy..

I am tempted if I can get the missus to get a passport if not I will have to either travel on my own or forget the idea.

Well, it is a good city to travel for a couple days or a week but as I was a resident, I've had enough of it and moved to a smaller city. The weather is good nowadays and possibly following 2 months will be like that. Not so cold, not so hot and not raining much. As the economy is going downhill as well, if you are considering to see Istanbul, it is your chance.
1 GBP is 8,24 TL as of today. So it is gonna be cheap.

I assume you mean "part of the studio audience", being part of the furniture would be a bit daft; if so are you paying travelling expenses? I don't come cheap ya know.

Good to see this, proves the team spirit upfront. As soon as Richarlison adapts himself to their friendship, it will be a deadly striker force.

Not to defend Cenk as I am Turkish but while I was checking this season's highlights again, I realized something...
First of all, as everyone realized it already, his off the ball performance is perfect. Making correct runs and creating gaps, swapping the role with the wingers to confuse defenders etc. etc. What I realize is, besides this off the ball role of Cenk, he is not the first or even second option to pass. All the crosses go high to the far post, all the through passes goes to wingers or back to Siggy. It is not he is not running, he is running and shows himself for the pass. It is not like nobody likes him in the team, looks like it is vice versa. Which leaves one and only option, Silva doesn't want them to pass the ball to him unless there is no other option. It must be a tactical thing but weird. Checking the highlights again and again, many runs of him going to waste and he is reacting to it.
It is ok as far as someone else scores but when the game is locked, it happened twice this season, you need another plan to score. Think about today, Richarlison is suspended and beside the fact that he scored, DCL was pretty poor on the left side. Walcott is injured and left the pitch. Why don't you pass the ball to him? I am not sure how can I do but I'll cut the parts that I've mention from the highlight if I can for today's game. Lookman twice denied to pass him the ball and has lost the possession afterward.
I mean, @markjazzbassist is right, it is like Martinez era. Silva needs to find a way to deal with it. Honeymoon is over Mr. Silva, wake up.

I think this game is going to be the story of a few games at Goodison this year. Teams will sit in and wait for the set pieces. We have done well against the free kicks and long throws, but these corners are a big problem. The corner before I thought we committed a lot of people to that front post and then the next corner, we dont win the header cleanly and it falls to their man 6 yards out with no-one around him. Its all well and good being that biased to the front post as long as you win that first ball but if you dont, we will be outnumbered in the rest of the box.
Overall though we have played well, albeit, a little within ourselves and as a result we haven't created many good chances. In fact I can't remember any other decent chances bar the two from DCL. Walcott and Coleman have both had similar shots, Tosun and Zouma have both had a pop but nothing that you would call a good chance. It's a bit like everyone is doing their jobs but they aren't doing that extra little bit to try and win us the game. As a result I can't really fault anyone. Zouma is the standout, Siggy is popping up here and there and Digne has had a good first 45 minutes in his starting PL debut. Schneiderlin has covered well but been a little bit negative and Davies has done exactly what he should do in offering that little bit more penetration. Tosun is working his arse off as usual. I think the weakest area of the team has been down that right hand side. Coleman has been awful with the ball at his feet and Walcott hasn't really imposed himself on the game despite the assist.
This is a game we should be looking to put our stamp on in this second half and finish them off.

Probably helps that Kane is a golden boy. Kind of like when Shearer kicked Neil Lennon in the head and fuck all happened.

Same as every season; it's a tough job a lot of which is down to players being "clever" but the sooner VAR is put in place the better imo.

The one thing that excited me about this signing when we bought him was he always scores against the shite. It was a shame the lad got injured and I hope he does well at.Villa and gets a move. He was always respectful and positive towards the club so I hold no animosity towards him.

    I just don't understand something.
We were down to 10-men for a long time, somehow scored one in that situation and after Smith's dismissal, we scored another. The team was struggling, which is understandable as it was 10 vs 11, but why the hell first substitute came on at 81st min. and why it was a striker? The midfield, especially Davies were terrible and Bournemouth was dominating the whole midfield since the beginning.
I mean it could have been a double substitution, call Cenk and Davies off, replace them with fresh legs.

We should have slowed the game down by keeping possession through simple passing but we panicked and went into the sort of meltdown that we witnessed in the Martinez era, Silva needs to have plan B for closing the game down.
It also shows how fragile our squad is at the moment one or two injuries and a couple reds, coupled with signings that are injured or not match fit and we find ourselves struggling to make telling changes when needed.
