Not sure when we became a fanbase that turns it's nose up at actually winning a trophy and bringing some success to the club after nearly two and a half decades of fook all, but as for as I'm concerned I want us to win every competition we enter, and I really hope Silva has a proper go at getting some silverware this (and every) season. That said, we'll probably struggle against Lincoln and get beat one nil like we did against Grimsby in the 80's 😀

Your spot on mate there’s definitely a good player in him, shame it didn’t work out for him here but a couple of shit managers in  Koeman and Aladyce didn’t do him any favours on top of that his injury woes. 

I agree he's a very likeable lad and it's a shame he didn't succeed here.

Have a feeling we'll just not get into this game for some reason. Really hope we've not bought a 'like for like' replacement (injury wise) for McCarthy with Fabian Delph. 

Went for Pickers. Thought he made a few decent stops today to make sure we didn't mess things up again. A bit of redemption for the guy, which is nice.

Best of luck to him. Hope he can do the business for Sheffield United, and come back to us a better player.

It's a scary thought to think we could lose this game but for me it looks very possible, they maybe languishing at the bottom of the table but they will have looked at our last 5 games and believe they can do a number on us.
The players need to be fully up and committed for this any hangover from Sunday and I fear we are done, this game could prove a big turning point in our season.

Hello all and Merry Christmas. New member hoping to make a positive contribution to the forums.

Never thought I'd be saying this about facing a club in the bottom three this season because it should be a given, but this is a winnable game for us. We're looking at a team going through a bit of a bad patch and showing a bit of poor form, confidence is a little low and they are easily rattled... anyway that's enough about Everton. I see this either being a boring nil nil draw or a hectic three four win for us. I am hoping for the latter, of course.
