Ian C reacted to Mirallas in Longest Thread For Drivel (or the Romelu Lukaku thread)
I think there's a hidden message in there.
"Time to write a new chapter"
is an anagram for:
"RIP Mr. Two, a wet teen hit ace."
The ace being Romelu himself, the question remains who Mr. Two is and who the wet teen is that caught his fancy.

Ian C reacted to spanna in Everton Vs Man Utd
Can't believe how decent Alcaraz is when having hardly played and we might score off a corner with him

Ian C reacted to MC11 in Would Fellaini fit in our team today?
There is not even an argument that his best season was last season (behind the striker). He's played deeper this season for United and has been shite. Did you watch him at old Trafford against Bayern? He was lost.
He's overrated and I wouldn't want him anywhere near this team. He's not good enough. Especially as a DM

Ian C got a reaction from Matt in John Stones
Agreed, thought Stones was v. good - started a ton of attacks by quickly getting the ball out and forward to Coleman.
And hey, that mistake led to the first goal

Ian C got a reaction from marcus jones in Rooney World Class Argument
Not even it's as simple as "he doesn't try". I don't think you can watch him play and think that he's not putting enough effort in.
I think world class players need to be surrounded by great players and a great manager, and given the space and responsibility to thrive. Rooney has none of that at United.
I think if he were at a Bayern, Madrid or a Barca we'd feel very differently.
It's funny, Rooney always struck me as someone motivated purely by football (by achievement, not necessarily loyalty), not money. I think his upbringing, or maybe the people around him, have led him to compromise his football for money - and I don't think he's happy with that.

Ian C got a reaction from Lowensda in Vaunt the Good Vibes
Was going to rant about the sheer incompetence of some people in one of my university coursework groups in the other thread but I won't, because I reminded myself that I'm moving to San Francisco for the summer in ~7 weeks and ain't nothing gonna bring me down

Not going to turn this into a "cancer diary" because those want a bit more info are getting it already but I'll update briefly on occasion because of all of the kind responses.
Surgery last week was a success and I've had my first chemo & radiotherapy sessions in the last couple of days. Feel great, really positive, bring it on .
That'll do .

Ian C got a reaction from EFC-Paul in Aiden McGeady
Chuffed with this signing. I think people will be very pleasantly surprised with McGeady. Excited to see what he can do when he's not expected to do *everything* for a team.
