Just one more comment from the BBC report before I retreat from this discussion again (can we even call it a discussion? It's actually an embarrassment).

I'd be very surprised if we finished 7th now, away form has continued to be frustrating but really it was our awful form November to February that has cost us. Over the season Wolves have been a better team anyway. Not overly bothered myself, I love European football but we went through a bit of a crisis last season and this one was always about stabilising and laying foundations for the future. I think our home form the last two months shows there is real promise and plenty of reason to be optimistic for next year. Big summer ahead, even bigger season to follow. I expect Man Utd to fall apart whoever they sign and Solksjaer to be sacked by Christmas, top 6 is there for the taking!

We lost against a nothing team in Newcastle, only the second time in 365 games that we've not got anything after taking in a two goal lead. Got comfortably beat by a relegated Fulham. Bullied by league one Millwall. Then there's the Leicester game on new year's, fortunately I missed this one but from what I heard it was our worst performance in years. 
We've had a good spell but with a big chunk of luck given the opposition. Don't see what Gana has done in those games to get the credit. If he didn't play and Davies did we'd probably have still won them, Gana hasn't been vital in any of them. 

There's a surprise, no one in here saying Silva's got the system all wrong, should be playing players out on loan and needs sacking before he ruins our football club!! 

So what about all the chances Bernard, Sigurdsson and Richarlison missed? We play four attacking players, they should all be contributing goals, they all deserve to be criticised for being wasteful today. 

Really enjoying the performance but we're nowhere near clinical enough in the final third. All four of the forwards guilty.

Most of us would have said we were quietly optimistic about progress under Silva before Pickford's brain fart v the shite, then we reverted back to the sort of form and football that got Koeman sacked - hapless. But it's largely the same personnel in the same system. 
The difference? Probably a combination of a new manager getting his ideas across more effectively the longer he works with a group, new players finding their feet, more players finding some form and confidence. It's too early to get carried away, though, this is still the side that capitulated woefully against Newcastle two matches ago, the lack of leadership at CB, real creativity in midfield and the need for a proven goalscorer to lighten the load of expectation on the 21 year old who has become our first choice CF all still apply. 
I think what we are seeing is that calls for Silva's head were very, very premature.

This is why calling for his head was silly. You have to give managers a chance to get their ideas across and get the players in that are suitable for their tactics, it’s not a quick fix and there were always going to be teething problems. 
He still might not be the man to take us forward but he had to be given the chance to be that man.

Harsh that I don’t think DCL had a clear cut chance. Maybe the 23 attempts we had were due to DCL playing? 

And v Chelsea we were crap in the first half then, if rumours are true, Silva gave them the hairdryer and we won. 

You are right we haven’t changed the formation or tactics, the big plus for me is the 3 in the middle have become a unit that work hard for each other, when we lose possession there first thought is get behind the ball and work to get it back, which in turn is having a good effect on the defence. 
So for me it’s more of a attitude or mindset change that has seen us improve, is that down to Silva I would like to think so, I called him weak because the team were weak in there attitude and decisions, and I believe a team reflects it’s manager. 
Did he become stronger with the players in the dressing room at half time in the Chelsea game, the players have made hints that they were read the riot act, and if so they become stronger because he became stronger that’s my opinion, and if we see that same intensity in all our games going forward I would feel a lot more positive towards him.

FFS! We controlled that game for the first touch to last, can't we all be happy with that, yes we should have put a few more of the chances away, but Fabianski was their saving grace today. They weren't good because we didn't give them the chance to be. We played  well as a team from front to back, I don't think any one player didn't perform for us, and Im struggling to pick out one for MOTM.
