With Delph it may be more the wages he was on and want to stay on not worth backing for a player of his age and injury record than not trusting him on the pitch.    We can't afford to have players like him, or like Mina who earn a good wage but can't be trusted to be fit for a majority of the season.

fairly tough away games in the first month but if we're in for a half decent season we should be able to get a few points off of them.
I quite like Chelsea home as an opener.  We have a great record at home to them in recent years, crowd will be up for it with a big evening opening fixture and I fancy us to continue our run of wins at home to Chelsea.

Rampant speculation on my part here as I don’t know the details of Moshiri’s business relationships but is it possible that he’s been hit hard (indirectly) by the various Russian sanctions and so might be more agreeable to a takeover than would have otherwise been the case?

All I really want is for Moshiri to let Thelwell (and Lampard) as a 'team' actually do their jobs over a sustained period of time (at least 2-3 years). The progress might not immediately be significantly higher league position of cup runs. Progress to me will be building a young team and overall footballing philosophy where our youth training and recruitment will be aligned as closely as possible to the first team. This looks like what the plan is. 
Its just no good trying to go toe to toe in the transfer market with the so called big guns, FFP just means that approach it totally unstainable - we tried and we failed miserably and have fallen flat on our faces. This is going to take 2-3 season to come back from - so lets take a breath, just do it properly with the right people. 
We fans have to be just as patient as Moshiri. 

I don’t think there is any way we bring one in and then both Mina and Keane leave. One will stay. Best partnership will be Tarkowski and Godfrey (Possibly Mina if he stays and is fit) with Holgate and Mina/Keane as cover. Branthwaite needs to be loaned and play. 

I think Branthwaite could do with a Championship loan for regular football.  He looked ok at times when he played but nothing special and would benefit more from playing than sitting on the bench.
Holgate and Godfrey should be young enough and hungry enough to get themselves in the team and stamp their mark on the centre back spot.  Assuming we keep one of Mina or Keane that gives us 4 centre backs which is plenty.
