Love this quote from Moyes in response to Arsene Wengers moaning about Everton being physical:

"Do you mean when we were a little bit rough with the tackling? Up north we do that quite often. That's actually allowed in football, " he said.

I think the Sunderland game is going to be a lot harder than it would have been a couple of weeks ago.

I'm pretty sure given the chance to be 4 points off 3rd place after 32 games at the start of the season we would ALL have taken that. Surely?!

Yes we have been knocked out of the cups, embarrassingly in both cases but it does happen. Man Utd haven't won the FA cup for nearly 10 years I think and they spend significantly more than us to have a bigger squad.

Whenever I feel frustrated or annoyed I just look at the table. Yes there are 'what might have been if..' feelings sometimes because we could be higher, but I'm sure Arsenal, Spurs and Man City feel the same way. That's football, we'd all win 'if'....

It may have been the same sub but it doesn't mean it was the same tactically speaking.

Haha as we all do mate! Probably the one thing we do all have in common on here, just have different ideas about how that's gonna happen.

    Haha.

I mean mid-week is only Wednesday, hence the German name for Wednesday - Mittwoch Incidently, the German powers that be only called Wednesday Mittwoch as they didn't want any pagan references ( Woden/Odin) in their Calender. Unlike us Brits, who kept the Woden's-day name.

Jeez guys the Spurs fans are going to think we are dumb as. Pfffft.

Can I start an Early/Late-Week Football thread?!

I think making sure Mirallas is fit for the remaining games is a priority. It was touch and go whether he'd play at all so I don't blame Moyes for taking him off. He could have taken a knock or aggravated his injury further had he have stayed on. I understand what you are saying about the threat Mirallas gives us, and yes we could have done with that for the lay ten minutes, but I'd rather have him for the next few 90 mins to be honest.

This was not a bad result, Moyes gets the blame for the fact they equalised but he doesn't get any credit for going 1-2 up in the first place against a very good spurs team.

Agreed. Le Fondre should have buried the earlier chance.

So Bale, Kaboul, Lennon, Defoe and Gallas all out?!

    Dare I? ........

Edit: I just had a look at the spurs team against Swansea. Even with Bale and Lennon out they still have Dempsey, Sigurdsson, Livermore and Holtby who didn't even start in their last prem match. Incidentally, Defoe only came on for the last 20 mins. They have Dawson, Vertonghen and Caulker for CB even though Gallas and Kaboul are out. Assou-Ekotto was benched against Swansea and Naughton played.

Point is, they have so much depth it's mad.

He lives in an apartment Manchester though, he's already talked about that. Maybe he just sold his property in Liverpool because he hasn't lived there for a while.

Why is it that everyone in the football world thinks Everton is the model football club, except for Evertonians?!

Arsenal have been trying to build a 'team' for 8 years and it hasn't worked, even though they have more money and draw than us to get the best youngsters in the world. Liverpool might be building a 'team' but remember we are ahead of them in the league and as soon as summer comes I think Rodgers will splash the cash he couldn't spend last summer.

I'm all for blooding in some youth but to say we need to start again is preposterous given its taken us this long to get where we are with the funds we have. Our starting eleven on its day is a match for anyone and I wouldn't fancy gambling on a 'team' that might get dispatched ala Villa every week.

All the elephants used to make their final stroll to goodison to die, I'm not sure there is enough space after the memories of ginola, gazza, mark Hughes, valente, neill, vdm showing fans what the ageing process (in some neglect) does to them.

Don't want him, he would be a luxury. Would sooner have Cahill back. Same team sacrifices need to be made.

Oldham may think they can win this but Liverpool have lost twice as many games as us in the league, we are harder to beat and I don't know why everyone is shitting themselves!

    Easy win
    3-0
