It’s widely acknowledged that if you want to bury news you release it late on a Friday so fully expecting that to happen, either this week or next
I think all eyes are on the PL at the moment, so this isn't going to get buried. I do think it will be after the Palace game, though - for obvious reasons.

Exactly what I said, then they will deduct another 6 along with Forest so I originally thought, but now I’m not so sure I have feeling that they will find the original penalty should stand.
I agree. The longer it goes on, the more likely a stitch up is on the cards.

The delay is to allow themselves time to make sure they and the appeals board have had time to get their stories water tight, on why we lost the appeal and to make it hard for anyone to question the decision, unlike last time. Am I being paranoid?
No, @Palfy. I think that's exactly what is happening behind the scenes. Sadly.

I don't believe in the independence of the new panel, nor its conviction / balls to overturn the original decision.
I absolutely don't believe in the integrity of the PL.
At very best, I think six points will be returned. These will again be docked in the second appeal. Nottingham Forest will also lose six points.
I think it will be a straight fight between us, Forest, Luton and Palace who takes the third relegation spot.
I think we will prevail.
I am hopeful Masters will lose his job and the PL rules will be rewritten.

neither Luton or Forest taking advantage today. poijts wise all in all goes down as a better weekend than expected.
Much better!
Now, on to Palace. Can we score a goal?

We should have just done what City did and tell them to fuck right off.

That is a great article! I feel quite positive reading that summary conclusion. Let's hear it for the ECHJ!

No shame in that defeat. Applied themselves. Asked questions. Didn't fold.

They're more than capable of one or two having a cracking innings, but every single one of them is also capable of getting out to any ball .
I think that's why I enjoy them play so much these days!

No weirdness abounds it, he was our best player yesterday.

I don't think they've got any chance of winning the second Test batting last chasing this huge score.
Stumps at 67 for 1.
They probably won't win but they were very competitive restricting India in the second innings. Hartley and Ahmed were great.
They need an exceptional innings from someone. Pope and Root will be key, I think.

I'd much rather the balls are in, to be honest (the Spurs net!).
We can't not score again, can we?

Expecting absolutely nothing out of this. If I've learned one thing from supporting this club, it's to set the bar low.
So you can still drink whilst watching the game legless and cursing on the floor?

Stunning win and it'll give the side even more belief in their positive play. Without that we don't get the win after the first two innings where India were well on top.
Massive congratulations to Hartley - he was taken to the cleaners in India's first innings but then tore through them in their second.
Amazing performance from him - and the team!
A great sporting fillip after Everton's dismal display yesterday.

Exactly what we need, another game added to the fixture list

Amazing how Everton obliged and granted your wish so soon!
Unfortunately, we won't be winning many of the remaining league fixtures with performances as abject as that.
File me under 'a trifle concerned'.

Didn't the same thing happen with Dele?
What a pair they would have been - I dread to think of the headlines - Samson and Dele-ilah?

I’m still in Spain back in UK on Friday, I’m not looking forward to my return the weather has been fantastic here low to mid twenties for nearly three and half weeks, just two days rain then sunshine the rest of the time. I hoping I’ve missed the worst of the bad weather you lads have been having, from what I’ve seen on the news and my kids have been telling me it’s been horrendous, so dreading my return, only good thing will be is that I will be able to fill you in a lot more on the pending appeal, I’m sure you can’t wait
I’ve mistakenly put this in the wrong thread, I am guilty and have no mitigating circumstances to why I did, deduct me as many points as you see fit.
Do we have a holiday / weather thread? Maybe we should!

Is it just being badly run, though?
To me, it's an agenda.
