Nope, that is two instances of the same offence of theft separated by 3 years.
With Everton the 2 of the 3 years in the new offense were punished in the 1st hearing, so in essence they are being punished twice for those 2 years.
You would also as others have said look at the new year which would be compliant by itself as the club is on a downwards trajectory in terms of debt levels.
Yes, I do get the point!
I was merely clarifying the first part of Matt's original post -
On 19/01/2024 at 20:07, Matt said:You don't punish a thief for stealing the same object twice, why should we be punished for accounts already penalised?
- by stating just what you have just said - you do punish a thief twice for the same offence if the offence of theft was separated by 3 years!
Hence:

You called
You can't be punished for the same crime twice.
The clearest analogy I can think of is a thief, who admits to stealing. Then they work with authorities to pay the money back, and asks for other offences they have committed to be taken into consideration. They also commit to getting help to prevent offending again. This would all be mitigation in sentencing which would in law lead to a reduced sentence.
Just so I've got this right:
If I was to pinch my neighbour's new lawnmower and get done for it, I would serve my sentence for the rotten theft.
Then, in three years' time, I pinch the self-same lawnmower, I can't be punished for it?
Is that really the law?

He's scored no goals at previous clubs. Rumour has it that his Italian coach declared "There must-a be-a no hann-a ball in-a the penalty box-a" and he took it too literally. Well, meybri it's true.
Hey, Cornovaglia Stefano, you think-a all-a words-a end-a in-a a-a, huh-a?

I know there's been some conflict over the quality of the puns, but I wouldn't call it a war.
On TT, I guess it's more self-inflicted punishment.

Have a funeral this afternoon for my 30 year old niece, and on the way found out my Auntie is being taken to the hospice as she is end of life.
That's really awful news to hear. My thoughts are with you and all your family.

I stand corrected. His dart shop and club are in St Helens!
Having been to St Helens, though, I'm still a bit worried about what they're putting in the water.

Right before I sign off to avoid the usual shite that I can already smell lurking...
That was piss poor.
From everyone. Dyche. The players. The tea lady.
It's not often we have lost and can say we were well off it, today is one if those times though.
Deserved nothing.
The players do need to keep their belief though. It's too easy to let confidence slip and let little petty arguments creep in on the pitch.
I'm sure Dyche will remind them of the good they've done this season. And hopefully tear up the 5 at the back blueprint!
We'll be sound this season. We were always going to hit a sticky patch. We're in it.
Just got in and seen the score. Sounds like a horror show but this match report made me feel better.

My missus is a vegetarian as well not for any reason other than she decided to not eat meat or fish again about 15 years ago, I have to say what an absolute nightmare it is when we go out for a meal especially in Spain, I’ve missed out on some really good meals in some restaurants because they don’t really cater for vegetarians we don’t go in
Spain, Italy, France are all a nightmare for us vegans! Chips and salad in most places.
Turkey / Cyprus were slightly better - chips, salad and humous.

Fuck me.
If he breaks a curry down like that, no wonder the players are so much better drilled on their tactics!
I had him down as a Patak's kind of guy, too - shame on me!

Mike, I'm sure, would have favoured 'nitpick' over 'nit-pick', but would undoubtedly have been impressed with your correction. As was I!
