  1. DCL for me too. Bright spark in a dull game.
  2. I hope PSG get knocked out of the CL early and then the EL too.
  3. Yep solid but not tested and had Gana helping everytime the ball went his way. Haf is right in that he can probably do a job anywhere, he is a proper footballer.
  4. Anyone convincing themselves that this game wasn't poor or that it's only preseason needs to wake up a little because performances in preseason are a precursor for the real thing. Our best preseason in recent years resulted in our best ever Prem points tally. Last season we sharpened up a little but soon dipped back to preseason levels. Soton also struggled in the first half of the season when they had the UEFA qualifiers under Koeman. In terms of tonight, it was poor. We played a bang average side with a dodgy keeper and posted maybe 2 or 3 shots on target. Koeman said we would be sharper but we were worse. It was the worst cross between Moyes and Martinez, lots of negative possession. Pickford was a positive, Williams much better, Keane classy again. Baines solid, Davies solid but completely wasted. Jags ok, but looked rusty. I thought Schneiderlin was poor tonight, again Gana did well defensively but he was poor offensively. Klaasen was barely involved, Rooney was poor and Sandro showed why I warned you all not to get too carried away byour that video. Playing under pressure is a different kettle of fish. I'm so glad DCL came on. He showed how much we missed Lukaku because he was a presence. He could beat them in the air, with his pace or by dropping deep and running at them. Rooney and Sandro were talking one good touch then a poor one but largely it was backwards or to the corner. Klaassen was completely wasted. He is clearly a box to box man, not wide. He should have been playing alongside Gana or Schneiderlin and then we needed some pace on the right. Rooney looked like the UTD player of the last 6 months. I can see a bit of promise but he looked like a 50 year old in the second half. We really need to step it up, and we may well do it but I'm not convinced yet.
  5. No it doesn't. It's not like we don't know what each side wants. What's the point in action game like dicks when clear communication and compromise will solve most issues. Divorce is accurate, as in my experience both sides are very rarely equal then either!
  6. £20mil is steep imo. Good player, has potential to be better than average but he isn't going to be any more than that.
  7. So did Martina. When Kenny played before he looked lively. May be he will get a game against Savilla.
  8. That's not my recollection of last season!
  9. Right wing back means we are playing 3 centre backs. Based on preseason and most of last season that would be surprising.
  10. I think that a failure of both sides to come to an agreement that suits both parties would just show how pathetic both sides are, like a bitter divorce. Both sides need to move on, give a bit, take a bit and get it sorted.
  11. Me too, although maybe he isn't too underrated ha.
  12. Glad it's not just me! An away goal would be massive Tonks, that would seal it. Hopefully nice and early, before getting a few more!
  13. He did a job last year but I don't think you can say he did more than that.
  14. RB agreed and AM agreed albeit they do have options for the attacking areas. Overall they have Alli, Eriksen, Lamela, Son (who is superb), Sissoko (shite) and then two young lads. Thats 5 players for 3 places so it gets tight and I suspect that's where they will strengthen this window.
  15. Same here. My Arsenal fan mates don't like him.either and they see him every week.
  16. Cazorla maybe but he is soft and is one of the reasons Arsenal perenially fail. Couldnt disagree more on LB. Top 5 in PL easily.
  17. Maybe he does need good players but he has them and he does really well for Spurs. Ran further than any other player in the league I think, which is an unuchal quality for sone one on his position!
  18. That's pairing has been 2nd in the league 2 years running. If Arsenal had that pairing they would have probably won't the league in the last 2 years as well. Again Rose has proven himself good enough at the top level.
  19. LB they have Rose and Davies which is as strong as there is in the Prem. Dier and Wanyama have proven themselves to be more than good enough especially alongside Dembele.
