I can't say I'm his biggest fan but he is good at holding the ball up and bringing others into the game a lot like Pelle was for Soton. He is a bit of a show pony as well though which I don't like. Sometimes I think he would rather look good than play football.

Thought he was solid all game. Couldn't stop the goals, made some good strong saves when he could get to them. Saved a pen and was bloody close to 2 others.

Rooney hasn't had much of a chance under Mourinho either. And yep it was that penalty and nothing else.

So again the answer is no. The most he scored a season was 7 and that was in league 1.

All I know is that if Gerry played 45 mins a game he would create at least 1 chance a game. I'm amazed that any manager would be prepared to give up on that.

It's not comical, Martinez put a lot of work in with the academy and we are reaping the rewards now. All of these lads coming through have all benefitted from him being at the club.

Those videos make him look really average. He looks clumsy, the defending against him is shite and he seems to ruin some break aways. There is very little end product other than playing in a man who was completely unmarked which I would hope any professional at the club could do that. I'll support him if he comes of course but I won't be expecting much. Keep Gerry instead please Ron!

I just watched some videos back of this lad and my word some of his saves are incredible. I thought his save against Lukaku early in the season was great but you go back through the saves and that wasn't even in thr top 10. The amount that were going in the corner and he gets the feigntest touch was impressive. He can be a bit flamboyant but he does the simple things well, such as getting the ball out of the area after the save. A couple still went back into a dangerous area but the majority were away and clear.

What a day! Welcome Davey! I have just watched some videos of him and he just looks like an all round good player. A real right place, right time, good reader of the game rather than being outstanding in one particular area. A bit like Schneiderlin is defensively but in an attacking mould.

When I was on thr train I looked at some of the Milan fan pages and one of them actually said he is like Balotelli but with a bit more between the ears. That does imply that Balotelli has something between the ears which I'm not so sure about. Reading through their pages over the years I think they had basically had enough of him. Does his bit for the team and clearly has some ability but when it comes to playing that final pass or finishing something off he fucks it up. We already have Mirallas for that!
