I hope you're right, Mike. I'll despair if any of them get the managers job.

The first part i agree with, but the Kenwirght thing? just no.

It's great that he's passionate about the club and a massive fan and all this, but when he is in front of the camera's, he's got to have his business head on. As someone said before, how does that help the new manager? the fact that he is still rimming Moyes? Thank him for all his great work and thats it. As for underestimating him in a business sense, what are these great achievements you mention? Commercially we are lightyears behind most PL teams.

If we are looking to move on to the next step as a club, maybe we should possibly looking at the Bundesliga for a candidate. Reason being that the German style seems to be the latest phase in the modern game, many of the German teams/managers are used to working with small budgets, so promote and develop youth players. Their style tends to be attacking but hard working which would fit in with the ethos instilled into the players under Moyes.

IF anyone from within Everton are appointed as manager, I think I'll perform everything suggested in the topic about Mark Hughes. It would be that bad.

Anyone else just hear Rafa on talkshite? i think he's secretly interested, he certainly doesn't rule it out, just says it would be difficult for either party to approach each other.

Poyet would be good but would he be loyal. Why are we not looking at the WBA Manager.

Exactly....ridiculous headline writing as ever, "Laudrup vows to stay at Swansea" when in fact he does no such thing!

Talksport said Phil Neville was offered the job two days ago, I wouldn't pay any attention. If I was in Mackay's situation, I'd rather be in the Premier League with the team I brought up to be honest.

Benitez won't be welcome by a lot of fans, I can't see it.

Anyone who knows me by now knows who I have deep issues with. Never has been Moyes, a manager will always be subject to whatever fickleness that the results drive fans to. Moyes was for me 80% perfect (organisational, man management, transfer policies etc)- the 20% that wasn't right (tactics) will always be there in my opinion and that will stop him realising the success that someone with his work ethic deserves. He just can't seem to go for it when the opportunity is there. United fans who chant 'attack, attack' will be scratching their heads when he has his players defending 1-0 leads and having no men up front when defending corners.

Back to the board - Kenwright. He was teary maybe because he loves Davie, no doubt about that. But the fear he must be feeling is there, no doubt about it. It's like someone whose best mate was his bodyguard in school has seen him expelled, the bullies are still there and he needs to find someone who he can get to protect him. I don't want to see Kenwright face the Blue Union and have to stomach this them and us scenario all over again. Moyes spent 11 years covering Bill & Co's backside and deserves his big chance, as for Bill & Co, the first job they've had to do for a while is get a successor, they've had plenty of warning - let's hope they deliver.

If I see:- MON, Keane, or any other fake that has stolen a living I will be finished with them completely.

I honestly think we're one of the worst counter attacking teams in the league. Whenever it looks like we're about to break Howard ends up with ball!

I think that sounds like a promising partnership, Martinez and Neville. Although i do think Neville has manager written all over him, and potentially a good one at that

I pray that Pienaar doesn't replace Neville as our 'fucking usless but always plays player'. I'd like us to actually move him along in the summer as we would probably still get a little bit of cash for him.

SimonButtle got a reaction from Sibdane in Everton Need Rebuilding
Based on todays performance we do need some rebuilding. I think we need a few replacements before we would even look at 'squad buys' Due to Moyes Oviedophobia we might be looking for a left sided player if Pienaar continues in this run of form. I think Jelavic may leave in the summer, not sure why just do. thats on top of us already needing to sign a striker. Our central midfield needs strengthening, Gibson is a good player but will always be in/out with injuries, Osman is inconsistent and you really never know what you get with him. We have needed to sign another midfielder option anyway, hence the attempt with Fer, This in the background of the probable transfer of Fellaini at some point during the close season. Heitinga i think will probably go with Fellaini during the close season, hopefully Duffy will finally get a chance to show what he can do. Then there is a replacement for Mucha who looks like he doesn't want to sign a new contract, and an argument can be made to say we should be looking for a long term replacement for Howard as well soon. Lets hope some of the youngsters can make the step up, we make some decent signings and have a good pre-season.

Yeah, I think that would be a good mix. Neville would add some valuable defensive outlook to martinez's expansive attacking mentality. I think we had more attacking creativity when Irvine was on board.

I don't know what they are complaining about, their disciplinary record under Wenger, has at times been shocking: Viera, Petit, Keown, even now they have a few in Wilshire, Mertesacker, Sagna, and Diaby. They were good, but not good enough. Simple as.
