Every time I look at this I expect to see some article about some kid from Westlife or something.

    Sorry Howard I missed that

Could well be a good fit for Stoke as a physical player, what with their bully boy tactics sometimes. I can appreciate the temper issue also.

I could be the most joyous and radiant individual on the face of the earth, but it still wasn't worth a new thread Sir. Please be reasonable

Incidentally, I don't kick snowmen. They can't defend themselves, so where's the fun in that.

They never did me any harm

Just went out back for a smoke and it's like damn Alaska outside.

Some may think I'm darker than the ravens that peck at little girls eyes or have a black heart, but in all seriousness, have to give a thought to those unfortunate enough to be out on the streets or living rough at a time like this. Must be fucking awful for those involved. Yes they have refuge centers or a place you can go, but they can't cater for everybody.

Just on freezing and the snow still comes down, so gave a thought to those unlucky enough to be out there tonight wherever they may be. Put any miseries I may have into perspective. This weather can kill

Yes I read it. Thanks for that.

Sadly another player of wasted potential. I was actually quite excited when we got to sign him at the time, but it just wasn't to be.

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from Quinn31 in Why do people hate America ?
I don't think we're hated. Yes some may not like us very much apart from some obvious choices you could think of but there's no real animosity involved for the most part.

Reasons to include all and anything could be

#1 We usually win everything (North Vietnam and Soccer aside) and do so well at most things, so people may get irritated with that

#2 We eat everything in sight

#3 Some of the things we gave to the world may not be for everyone. Talent shows, Springer, Timberlake, the aforementioned Spears etc

#4 Getting involved in other people's affairs and problems. If a dispute breaks out anywhere in the world we invariably get involved.

#5 The near constant stories we hear of gun related terror that hitherto can't be properly controlled.

#6 Probably seen as a nation of warmongers or belligerents

Hell maybe people are upset because we have a fine and inspirational national anthem, that some other nations simply can't match. (Some truly awful anthems out there, God Save The Queen being just one of them I'm afraid). How can you get inspiration from that fucking mundane and banal song, or feel proud about your country etc. I'm being damn serious. Maybe it's even a bit of jealousy involved, who knows.

Once again, for all the problems we have, for any hostilities or any one persons perspective, wouldn't want to be anything else.

Fucking hell can you imagine, sitting there watching that awful program, Everton losing and Liverpool getting a victory, and analysis from two or three boring, mundane and nauseating "individuals". The Television would be out of the nearest window before end of broadcast.

I'm just going to divorce myself for the rest of the day with 'this weeks footy' Fuck that.

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from Matt in Tim Cahill On Loan?
Maybe some things are just left best in the past.

Cahill would be good for morale, and his presence at the club once again may be of slight significance or give players a boost of minor proportions, but apart from that, I do hope he doesn't come back in any playing capacity. If we could get Henry instead though, despite being of a greater age ?, I'd maybe jump at the chance to take him on loan. What a name that would be to have on board, but it does look unlikely and Cahill looks better equipped to arrive than the other.

I'll admit to watching that, and there was actually some mild humor to be had of all things

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from Lowensda in Has the Everton bubble burst ?
There wasn't any bubble to begin with.

In the simplest terms, the team has missed out on points accumulation in recent weeks, either because mainly,

A Chances were not coverted or opportunities spurned

B The referee was inept or inefficient

C The team didn't show enough attacking emphasis at crucial parts of the game/s

Add to that, Moyes remains consistent in making some bizarre changes or thinking, relevant areas need some adjustment or reinforcement, The team may be unsettled by constant speculation that their star asset may be leaving in the New Year window if demands are not met, and the more chances are missed and oppositions get a result from us, the deeper it may start to effect.

I don't think we're in the grip of anything too serious, not quite standing on the deck of the Titanic 10 minutes after a mid water incident. Yes we have been disappointed lately in that some smaller opposition have taken points, the match officials have been largely sub standard, but that has to change sooner or later (or will it is one concern), and the team has been wasteful in front of goal or conceded late goals at the other end, but at least we have made chances to score. I'd rather see them missed than not have them at all to begin with.

This has nothing to do with bubbles or Fairy Liquid or anything, merely the team has gone through a bad spell recently, dropped points against some inferior opposition, match officials have been themselves, and while we have some difficult games coming up, the capabilities are there to do something and give something back to supporters. Yes we should ideally be in charge of a champions league berth by now, but there is still ample opportunity to find ourselves back in that capacity and most probably, will at least have a UEFA cup place by end of season, even if it will, most likely be another year without an actual trophy won. We have players to return, a very good squad overall, some may not like Moyes, but we have made progress this calendar year, played some attacking play and there is reason for optimism or to believe there will be some end product at end of season by getting back into Europe.

But really, that was some amazing designs above, I don't know how quite he managed it, one of those art things around that kids are a whizz at, but while not quite Da Vinci or Renoir, it was quite a picture

It's the best way to be sometimes, however some things are too much to bear in silence

Ok, what have we got. Game over and a defeat from a game we really didn't deserve to lose and another shit performance in general from a match official, that was less than impartial ?

I thought before time, today would be tricky, but never expected to be beaten.

Really missed out on a chance today to keep that grip on 4th place and some other sides in the vicinity also dropped points.

Reading got their first win of the season today, at our expense.

It's still only two defeats for us all season but today was hard to take and not the first time either at 90 minutes we have been spitting fucking feathers.

Disappointed, frustrated, a bit fed up, another lousy afternoon with wasted potential.

    That's about it

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from daib0 in Reading v Everton – Reading fan Chat
Yes I read it. It was probably a better final than the one in 1993 with Swindon and Leicester was it.

Having Reading in the EPL at the time, was with all due respect, a bit of a bizarre and unheard of thing, but everyone got a bit more used to it since then. I don't think some were quite prepared or didn't know what to expect or think. But they were some standout times back then with all kinds of emotions that we (sometimes) try to forget.

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from Droobie in Can we win the league?
I have a lot of time for Motson as a commentator and analysist and he's had decades of experience and did narrate our official club history film release, but you can't read too much into what was said. I remember back in the summer of 1996 after the Newcastle win at home on the opening day of the season, that Lynam and his panelists that night said we were dark horses for the league title. It was nearer a relegation battle and two embarrassments in the cup tourneys and we lost our manager before end of season.

Some significant difference also between 'winning the league' and grabbing a fourth place finish.

Once again, and just for some closure on this, we won't win the league, can't win the league, the best I feel will be the last champions league place like seven years ago or most likely a UEFA cup place.

And there will always be those who want to see the club get these places rather than an actual trophy won. That's all very well and good, and you can appreciate that thinking, but next year will be our 18th year since a last trophy won, and I want to see the club win something again. These league finishes are very commendable but as always, you don't get any trophies for a UEFA cup or even Champions League place.

We've been away far too long for an honor won or any kind of trophy, and I merely want to see that rectified sometime soon. Soccer is a results business, and if you're not motivated to win any trophy, then what's the point of going out to play.

Have to feel a bit sorry for Wednesday's opposition at the weekend, I do hope they can sort themselves out. What the fuck were they thinking, keeping hold of Jewell for so long, or even appointing him in the first place.

I tried long and hard finding some match highights from the game at Portman Road on saturday and Barkley's goals, but on the respective sites, highlights are only available to subscribers, and on youtube there was nothing to be had. He is doing well for himself up there though.

Dalziel Kane got a reaction from 12ubb3rduck in Liverpool
I get irritated enough watching that damn highlights show on sundays and the people involved, but if Suarez was having another diving session today and falling all over the place that would just about do it for me. And - diving in front of our bench today? I would have liked to have been on that bench today in that moment. Horrible player that is justified by any and all comments on that individual. Poor advertisement for the EPL will players like that.

Keep reading about how the main match official had a poor game. Not the first, or last time, where we are involved, but I can't say a bad word against him for a decision at least, he made in the closing seconds. Once again, did well to get back into it, from the two goal deficit.

I never knew that and hence why I asked.

It says short for 'lobscouse' who incidentally was a recent new participant. I saw the name before and wondered what that was about. I thought initially it was reference to a Mersey-born player taking a shot from distance. Had no idea it was a reference to food stuffs.

So Fellaini misses a fixture against the bottom place team and should be available for the LFC fixture? Tells you all you need to know really. Not so much 'could' be back, as 'would' be back. The Belgian will be featured in time you can rest assured.

One of the most ingenious creations ever for television, and pity it was so short lived.

Miles better than that awful crap 'Fort Boyard' they tried to re-do with that actor from Eastenders.

They're going to the crystal dome now. The highlight of the show no less.
