I just kind of assumed the mods here were running the forum & the club at this point…

If anyone wants to see Dyche sacked I’ve got to ask, who do you want to sack him? It’s an abandoned ship!
Can Thelwell sack him? Does he have the authority for that?
Chong? He’s only in a temporary position, so can he sack him?
Moshiri doesn’t give a fuck, Bill is in hiding but still wants to be “Chairman Bill” of his own train set.

777 don’t own the club yet.

Can Seamus Coleman sack him? He’s probably the highest ranking employee right now. 😂

If these guys come in, get the stadium done, and then flip it as suggested, then isn’t that ‘ok’.
I mean that in the sense that, the stadium gets done then maybe they don’t invest too much in the team, which may be difficult enough with FFP anyway, but keep us in the League, we then at least become an attractive investment for someone who might be willing to invest in taking the club forward.
I’m clutching at straws I know, but surely that is a better situation to be in than the status quo?
It’s going to be a long time before we are fighting for Europe again, that much is obvious. But a new stadium and perhaps better people behind the scenes inc. at board level is the best we can hope for at the moment?

Yet again another excellent “education” piece. Fucking Jim White….constantly trying to needle a story that just isn’t there and Simon Jordan having to school him on the realities. For example, trying to make a big deal that 777 gave us 20M or so - who cares. It’s just a loan from someone else that nobody knows the intricate details of. Trying to say we are in trouble if the 777 deal doesn’t go through. Moshri will just become more desperate and we may end up with a better owner because the terms are better. I also liked the first video where he challenged the authenticity of stuff in the press (hidden agendas)
I said months ago that we were in financial trouble (no free cash flow) and Moshri did not want to (or could not) put money into the club. That was met with misunderstanding. Yes he had money (not sure how liquid it is) but he was clearly not wanting to put money in. That’s another reason why our transfer deals have had to be on very specific terms (not just FFP).
I for one could not care who buys the club because we won’t be in a worse position that we are now - no cash flow, negative operating margins, an owner who won’t put more in (and probably shouldn’t to be honest).
Let’s wipe the slate clean, get rid of Moshri and Blue Bill…and see where it takes us. I don’t see how we can be worse off.

I’m torn. Part of me says we need to stick with and at least give him a chance. He’s barely had time to put his stamp on the team and we’ve had key players out (in a team with no depth).
On the other hand, I don’t feel he’ll last the season anyway, so why prolong the agony.
But then on the other hand, we can’t keep changing managers every 5 minutes.
But on the other hand, we are abysmal to watch.
FFS, you need at least four arms to support this team!

I think it’s very quickly coming to the point where we need to change manager.  I can’t see what dyche is trying to achieve tbh.

We desperately need to invest in a top sports psychologist. This team should be doing much better but their minds are seemingly so fragile at this point, it's not taking much to knock their confidence or concentration.

This is my point tho. We didn’t go to toe because we don’t have the squad for it. This team would’ve absolutely crushed us if we played that way.

what are our strengths? What would you suggest we do against Arsenal?

My conclusions from today: we’re a bang average team at best. But I think we all knew that already.
I take it as a positive that we only lost by one. Arsenal are a million miles ahead of us. And that’s the saddest part of all.
We’re utterly boring to watch. Football is supposed to be a form of entertainment. You win some, you lose some, and your emotions are stirred one way or the other. But you’re not supposed to come away from the experience feeling you’ve literally just wasted 2 hours of your life.

The difference in passing skills is enormous.  As is the alertness factor.  Arsenal play and think crisply.  We do neither.

This conversation is a bit weird for me. We are only four games into the season and already talk about getting a new manager is starting to surface.
It’s almost like we’ve come to expect a change in manager, and now we’re just counting the days till it happens.
But if you look at it, Dyche came in with a remit of keeping us in the Premier League. At the time I’d say most of us thought we were certain to go down. We couldn’t score, the mentality was crap and we looked at sure bet for the drop.
He managed to keep us in the league, and although it wasn’t pretty, he succeeded in fulfilling that remit.
Now he’s had a window to try and “rebalance” squad and in the main, even though we may lack depth, the squad is probably a little more balanced… maybe, it’s certainly not worse.
We’re four games in, and though there have been a couple of matches which have been real stinkers, on the whole we’ve played quite well and created plenty of chances.
I feel there is still a lot to be optimistic about at this point, but the last thing we need is shouts for a change in manager when the seasons only just started. We need to get out of that mentality and at least give him and the team a chance.
Maybe by the end of November I’ll have changed my tune but it’s only September so for now I’m going to whistle this one.

When you see them writing drug trafficking in the media and then find out it was basically an ounce of coke for him and his mates, it’s does seem a little exaggerated.
Not that I’m trying to justify it but if we see him walking out of Wembley after we’ve snatched an injury time winner in the semifinal, wide-eyed and gurning, shouting “I want Mourinho! Everton aren’t we!”, then maybe he’s the man for the job.
Anyway, on a serious note, I think there’s been a lot of bad press and I’m not sure how justified that is. I’ll be watching this space and trying to find out a bit more about them in the coming days no doubt.
But at the same time, I kind of agree with what Moshiri said in his release. Times have changed. Premier League football clubs and they their ownership models are not what they used to be. We kind of have to accept that.
At the end of the day, it what happens in the pitch that matters and ultimately they’ll be judged on that. They could take billions out of the club, but if we’re winning trophies not many are gonna complain.

isn't our current ownership hated so much that any sale should be a good sale?
They have a good few clubs under their belt that were about to collapse and are not a lot more stable. But I don’t know enough about them to make a proper judgement.
A lot of what I read seems inflated to be honest. The whole arrest for drugs for example. It was t as much as Barkley or Bilic used to snort at cream!
And a few late payments? …. Damn I’m going to hell!
